他舉目觀看，看哪，有三個人在他對面站著！他一看見，就從帳篷的入口跑去迎接他們，俯伏於地，說：「我主啊，如果我在你眼前蒙恩，請不要路過你的僕人就走。請讓我拿點水來，你們可以洗洗腳，在樹底下休息。我也拿點餅來，你們可以恢復精力，然後再走；你們既然路過僕人這裡，就理當如此。」他們說：「就照著你說的去做吧。」於是亞伯拉罕趕快進入帳篷，到撒拉那裡，說：「快拿三細亞上等的麵粉，揉好做餅！」亞伯拉罕又跑到牛群那裡，牽了一頭又嫩又好的牛犢，交給僕人，僕人就趕快去準備。然後亞伯拉罕拿了乳酪、奶和預備好的牛犢肉，擺在他們面前；他們吃的時候，他在樹下侍立在他們旁邊。
