他們上去、窺探了那地，從尋的曠野到利合，向着哈馬口那方向。

他又說：『受欺壓的西頓居民哪，你再也不會歡躍了；起來，過去到基提；就是在那裏、你也不會得安歇的。

西頓哪，慚愧哦！因為大海說了話，海上的保障說：『我沒有受過產痛，我沒有生產過，沒有養大過男子，也沒有撫養過童女。』

如今你們若準備得好，甚麼時候你們聽見號角、簫笛、琵琶、琴、瑟、風笛、和各樣樂器的聲音，若俯伏向我所造的像下拜，卻還可以；若不下拜，就必須立刻被扔在烈火燃燒着的窰中；試問有甚麼樣的神能解救你們脫離我的手呢？』沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌應時對王說：『尼布甲尼撒王啊，這件事我們無需乎回答你。即便如此，我們所事奉的上帝也能將我們從烈火燃燒着的窰中解救出來；王啊，他是一定會解救我們脫離你的手的。

永恆主將他們交在以色列人手裏；以色列人擊敗了他們，追趕他們、到大西頓、到米斯利弗瑪音、直到東邊的米斯巴平原，擊殺他們，殺到沒有給他們剩下一個殘存的。

恐怕他們像獅子撕裂我，甚至撕碎，也無人搶救。

所以你們把上帝忘了的、要思想這事，免得我把你們撕碎，而沒有援救的。

當那些日子以色列中沒有王；那些日子但的族派仍在尋找着可住的地業，因為在以色列眾族派中、直到那日還沒有拈下哪一塊地給他們做產業。

婢女有兩個兒子；他們二人在田間鬧爭鬪；沒有人從中排解；這一個就擊打那一個，竟把他殺死了。
