So the children of Dan sent five men of their family from their territory, men of valor from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and search it. They said to them,“ Go, search the land.” So they went to the mountains of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.

So the Danites sent five of their leading men from Zorah and Eshtaol to spy out the land and explore it. These men represented all the Danites. They told them,“ Go, explore the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim and came to the house of Micah, where they spent the night.

Those people told the men,“ Go. Check out the land.” So they entered the hill country of Ephraim. They went to the house of Micah. That’s where they spent the night.

So the men of Dan chose from their clans five capable warriors from the towns of Zorah and Eshtaol to scout out a land for them to settle in. When these warriors arrived in the hill country of Ephraim, they came to Micah’s house and spent the night there.

So the Danites sent out five brave men from all their clans, from Zorah and Eshtaol, to scout out the land and explore it. They told them,“ Go and explore the land.” They came to the hill country of Ephraim as far as the home of Micah and spent the night there.

The Danites sent out from their whole tribe five representatives, capable men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and explore it. They said to them,“ Go, explore the land.” They came to the Ephraimite hill country and spent the night at Micah’s house.

And the Spirit of the Lord began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

Now Joshua the son of Nun sent out two men from Acacia Grove to spy secretly, saying,“ Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” So they went, and came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there.

And six hundred men of the family of the Danites went from there, from Zorah and Eshtaol, armed with weapons of war.

Then the spies came back to their brethren at Zorah and Eshtaol, and their brethren said to them,“ What is your report?”

Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them,“ Go up this way into the South, and go up to the mountains,

So he said to him,“ We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah toward the remote mountains of Ephraim; I am from there. I went to Bethlehem in Judah; now I am going to the house of the Lord. But there is no one who will take me into his house,

Plans are established by counsel; By wise counsel wage war.

Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?

And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite staying in the remote mountains of Ephraim. He took for himself a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah.

Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

And the territory of their inheritance was Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,

So Joshua answered them,“ If you are a great people, then go up to the forest country and clear a place for yourself there in the land of the Perizzites and the giants, since the mountains of Ephraim are too confined for you.”But the children of Joseph said,“ The mountain country is not enough for us; and all the Canaanites who dwell in the land of the valley have chariots of iron, both those who are of Beth Shean and its towns and those who are of the Valley of Jezreel.”And Joshua spoke to the house of Joseph— to Ephraim and Manasseh— saying,“ You are a great people and have great power; you shall not have only one lot,but the mountain country shall be yours. Although it is wooded, you shall cut it down, and its farthest extent shall be yours; for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots and are strong.”

Now there was a certain man from Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren and had no children.

And his brothers and all his father’s household came down and took him, and brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. He had judged Israel twenty years.Now there was a man from the mountains of Ephraim, whose name was Micah.
