所以你們和議會現在就要告訴千夫長，把保羅帶到你們這裡來，假裝要更詳盡地審查他的事；我們預備好了，要在他到達以前就殺了他。」

在大馬士革，阿瑞塔斯王的總督看守了大馬士革城，要抓我，可是我被人用筐子從城牆的窗口縋下來，逃脫了他的手。

「可是那些農夫看見他的兒子，就彼此說：『這是繼承人。來，我們把他殺了，占有他的繼業！』

掃羅派人到大衛家去監視他，要在清晨殺他。大衛的妻子米甲警告大衛說：「你今夜如果不逃命，明天就會被殺死。」
