Then he became very thirsty, and he called to the Lord and said,“ You have handed this great victory over to Your servant, and now am I to die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

参孙甚觉口渴，就求告耶和华说：“你既藉仆人的手施行这么大的拯救，岂可任我渴死、落在未受割礼的人手中呢？”

参孙非常口渴，就求告耶和华说：“你既藉仆人的手施行这么大的拯救，现在我要渴死，落在未受割礼的人手中吗？”

參孫渴甚、籲耶和華曰、爾藉僕手、大施拯救、今將渴死、而陷未受割者之手、

渴甚、籲耶和華曰、爾既大拯爾僕、豈容渴死、使陷於未受割禮者之手乎。

Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord,“ You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was very thirsty. So he cried out to the Lord. He said,“ You have helped me win this great battle. Do I have to die of thirst now? Must I fall into the power of people who haven’t even been circumcised? They aren’t your people.”

And he was very thirsty, and he called upon the Lord and said,“ You have granted this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and shall I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Samson was now very thirsty, and he cried out to the Lord,“ You have accomplished this great victory by the strength of your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of these pagans?”

He became very thirsty and called out to the LORD,“ You have accomplished this great victory through your servant. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?”

Then David said to himself,“ Now I will perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than to safely escape into the land of the Philistines. Then Saul will despair of searching for me anymore in all the territory of Israel, and I will escape from his hand.”

Because of the extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me— to keep me from exalting myself!Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me.

For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God,The God who encircles me with strength, And makes my way blameless?He makes my feet like deer’s feet, And sets me up on my high places.He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your right hand upholds me; And Your gentleness makes me great.You enlarge my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped.I pursued my enemies and overtook them, And I did not turn back until they were consumed.I shattered them, so that they were not able to rise; They fell under my feet.For You have encircled me with strength for battle; You have forced those who rose up against me to bow down under me.You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, And I destroyed those who hated me.

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the Scripture would be fulfilled,* said,“ I am thirsty.”

Then Gideon and the three hundred men who were with him came to the Jordan and crossed over, exhausted yet still pursuing.

Tell it not in Gath, Proclaim it not in the streets of Ashkelon, Or the daughters of the Philistines will rejoice, The daughters of the uncircumcised will celebrate.

Then Samson called to the Lord and said,“ Lord God, please remember me and please strengthen me just this time, O God, that I may at once take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes.”

and when the Egyptians see you, they will say,‘ This is his wife’; and they will kill me, but they will let you live.Please say that you are my sister so that it may go well for me because of you, and that I may live on account of you.”

I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.

And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,

Then David said to the men who were standing by him,“ What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and rids Israel of the disgrace? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he has dared to defy the armies of the living God?”

Now the sun rose upon him just as he crossed over Penuel, and he was limping on his hip.
