淫亂者乎、爾豈不知友於世、乃敵上帝乎、凡欲為世之友者、自為上帝敵也、

淫亂之男女乎、豈不知狗世之情欲者、則逆上帝、凡狗世之情欲、則其違逆上帝也明矣、

淫亂之男女乎、豈不知愛世即惡天主、凡欲與世為友者、即與天主為敵也、

嗚呼、爾亦不淑也已！豈不知與世為友、即與天主為仇乎？閹然媚世者、不能取悅於天主矣。

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

You are not faithful to God. Don’t you know that to be a friend of the world is to hate God? So anyone who chooses to be the world’s friend becomes God’s enemy.

You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

原來屬肉體的思想是敵對神的，因為它不服從神的律法，其實也不能服從；

如果你們屬於這世界，世界會把你們做為屬自己的來愛；但是，因為你們不屬於這世界，而是我從世界中揀選了你們，所以世界就恨你們。

我現在到底是要得人的信任，還是要得神的信任呢？難道我是想討人的喜悅嗎？如果我仍然討人的喜悅，我就不是基督的奴僕了。

「一個人不能服事兩個主人。他不是厭惡這個、喜愛那個，就是忠於這個、輕視那個。你們不能既服事神，又服事財富。

在父神看來，純潔而沒有玷汙的虔誠是這樣的：照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不受世界的玷汙。

我把你的話語給了他們，而世界恨他們，因為他們不屬於這世界，就像我不屬於這世界那樣。

恨我的，也恨我的父。如果我沒有在他們當中做別人從未做過的事，他們就沒有罪；但如今他們雖然看到了，還是恨我和我的父。

這樣，我們做神敵人的時候，尚且能藉著神兒子的死與神和好，何況和好以後，難道不更要藉著神兒子的生命得救嗎？

一個邪惡、淫亂的世代會尋求神蹟，可是除了約拿的神蹟以外，不會有神蹟賜給它了。」然後耶穌就離開他們走了。

耶穌回答他們，說：「一個邪惡、淫亂的世代會尋求神蹟；可是除了先知約拿的神蹟以外，不會有神蹟賜給它了。

世界不能恨你們，卻是恨我，因為我見證世界的行為是邪惡的。

我要把仇恨放在你和女人之間，放在你的後裔和女人的後裔之間；女人的後裔要重創你的頭，而你要重創他的腳跟。」

你看見竊賊時，就喜悅與他在一起，你又與通姦的人一同有份。

看哪，遠離你的都將滅亡；所有背棄你如同犯姦淫的，你都要除盡！

不過我的這些敵人，就是不要我做王統治他們的人，把他們帶到這裡來，在我面前殺掉！」

「至於你們這些巫婆的子孫，姦夫和妓女的種子，近前來到這裡吧！

你的手找出你一切的仇敵，你的右手找出那些恨你的人。
