於是古經所載亞伯漢因信天主而成聖、且稱為「天主之友」云者、乃獲當然之補充、而厥義大備矣。

And the scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.

That is what Scripture means where it says,“ Abraham believed God. God accepted Abraham because he believed. So his faith made him right with God.”( Genesis 15:6) And that’s not all. God called Abraham his friend.

and the Scripture was fulfilled that says,“ Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”— and he was called a friend of God.

And so it happened just as the Scriptures say:“ Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God.

亞伯蘭信耶和華，耶和華就以此算為他的義。

可是你，以色列啊，我的僕人！雅各啊，我所揀選的，我朋友亞伯拉罕的後裔！

正如「亞伯拉罕信神，這就被算為他的義」，

經上到底是怎麼說的呢？「亞伯拉罕信神，這就被算為他的義。」做工的人得工錢，不算是恩典，而是應得的；但是，一個人雖沒有做工，卻信靠那稱不敬虔之人為義的神，這人的信就被算為義。正如大衛也論到神所算為義之人的福份，這義與行為無關；他說：

因此，這就被算為他的義了。不但如此，「被算為他的義」這句話不僅是為亞伯拉罕寫的，也是為我們寫的；我們信靠使我們的主耶穌從死人中復活的那一位，就將被算為義。

一個人為他的朋友捨棄自己的生命，人的愛沒有比這更大的了。你們如果遵行我所吩咐的事，你們就是我的朋友了。我不再稱你們為奴僕，因為奴僕不知道主人所做的事。我卻稱你們為朋友，因為我把從我父所聽到的一切，都讓你們明白了。

同時，他們把兩個強盜與耶穌一起釘上十字架，一個在右邊，一個在左邊。

耶穌開始對他們說：「今天，在你們耳中的這段經文，已經應驗了。」

你們難道也沒有讀過這段經文嗎？『工匠所棄絕的石頭，它已經成了房角的頭塊石頭；

原來經上有話對法老說：「我興起你，正是為此：好讓我藉著你來顯出我的大能，使我的名傳遍天下。」

既然經文預先看見神要使外邦人因信稱義，就預先把福音傳給了亞伯拉罕，說：「萬國都要藉著你蒙祝福。」這樣，那些有信仰的人，與有信仰的亞伯拉罕一同蒙祝福。凡是本於律法上行為的人，都在詛咒之下，因為經上記著：「任何人不持守、不遵行律法書上所記載的一切，都是被詛咒的。」

神並沒有棄絕自己預先所知道的子民。難道你們不知道那有關以利亞的經文怎麼說嗎？他怎樣向神抱怨以色列人呢？

那麼，是怎麼被算為義的呢？到底是在他受割禮之後，還是在他沒有受割禮的時候呢？不是在受割禮之後，而是在沒有受割禮的時候。並且他領受了割禮的標記，做為他沒有受割禮時因信稱義的印證，使他成為所有不憑著割禮而信之人的父，也使他們被算為義；

「各位弟兄，那段經文是必須應驗的，就是聖靈藉著大衛的口所預言有關猶大的事。這猶大，領人抓了耶穌；

然而，經上的話把萬物都圈在罪孽之下，為要使這因信耶穌基督而來的應許，賜給那些相信的人。

聖經都是神所默示的，對於教導、責備、規正、在義中的訓練都是有益處的，

因為經上記著：「看哪，我在錫安放一塊蒙揀選的、珍貴的房角石，信靠他的人絕不至於蒙羞。」
