Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

必有人说：“你有信心，我有行为。”你将你没有行为的信心指给我看，我便藉着我的行为，将我的信心指给你看。

不过有人会说：“你有信仰；我有行为。”请给我看看你没有行为的信仰，我也本于自己的行为给你看看我的信仰。

但是有人或者要說：『你有信心麼？我卻有行為』。好，將你沒有行為的信心指給我看吧，我便由我的行為將信心指給你看。

不過有人會說：「你有信仰；我有行為。」請給我看看你沒有行為的信仰，我也本於自己的行為給你看看我的信仰。

或謂爾有信、我有行、爾其以行外之信示我、我則由我之行以信示爾、

人言爾惟信主、善則行善、爾若無行、焉能以信示我、吾既有行、將以我信示爾、

或有人言、爾有信、我有行、請由爾之行、示我以爾之信、我將示爾以我之信由我之行、或作或有人言爾有信我有行請以爾無行之信示我我將示爾以我之信由我之行

人將謂爾曰：『爾有信、我有行；惟爾示我以無行之信、而我將示爾以行、用徵吾信。

But someone will say,“ You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

But someone will say,“ You have faith. I do good deeds.” Show me your faith that doesn’t cause you to do good deeds. And I will show you my faith by the goods deeds I do.

But someone will say,“ You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Now someone may argue,“ Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say,“ How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

But someone will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith by my works.

But someone may well say,“ You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

But someone will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from thy works, and I by my works will show thee my faith.

Yes, a man will say,“ You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and[ of] a good conscience, and[ of] faith unfeigned:

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Who[ is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

What[ doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine[ shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because[ he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever[ is] not of faith is sin.

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead,[ even] Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent[ them] out another way?

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

But without faith[ it is] impossible to please[ him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and[ that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

And though I have[ the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

[ There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Therefore if any man[ be] in Christ,[ he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
