But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him.

若爾中有人智慧不足、當求天主、天主乃厚賜人而不責人者、必賜所求、

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone and doesn’t find fault.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you.

When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers.When you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you. If you seek me with all your heart and soul,

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.Do not be wise in your own estimation; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king in my father David’s place, even though I am only a young man and am inexperienced.Your servant stands among your chosen people; they are a great nation that is too numerous to count or number.So give your servant a discerning mind so he can make judicial decisions for your people and distinguish right from wrong. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours.”The Lord was pleased that Solomon made this request.God said to him,“ Because you asked for the ability to make wise judicial decisions, and not for long life, or riches, or vengeance on your enemies,I grant your request, and give you a wise and discerning mind superior to that of anyone who has preceded or will succeed you.

“ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.Is there anyone among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

Now give me wisdom and discernment so I can effectively lead this nation. Otherwise no one is able to make judicial decisions for this great nation of yours.”

At that time you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth, whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Seek the LORD while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby!The wicked need to abandon their lifestyle and sinful people their plans. They should return to the LORD, and he will show mercy to them, and to their God, for he will freely forgive them.

Only may the LORD give you insight and understanding when he places you in charge of Israel, so you may obey the law of the LORD your God.

So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.

and I have filled him with the Spirit of God in skill, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship,

Moreover, I have also given him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and I have given ability to all the specially skilled, that they may make everything I have commanded you:

and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing to him.

Jesus answered her,“ If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you,‘ Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

“ So I tell you: Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.What father among you, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.

He asked them to pray for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery so that he and his friends would not be destroyed along with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.Then in a night vision the mystery was revealed to Daniel. So Daniel praised the God of heaven,saying,“ Let the name of God be praised forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to him.He changes times and seasons, deposing some kings and establishing others. He gives wisdom to the wise; he imparts knowledge to those with understanding;he reveals deep and hidden things. He knows what is in the darkness, and light resides with him.

Then Jesus began to criticize openly the cities in which he had done many of his miracles, because they did not repent.

I answered,“ Oh, Lord GOD, I really do not know how to speak well enough for that, for I am too young.”The LORD said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am too young.’ But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you.

“ Whoever is naive, let him turn in here,” she says to those who lack understanding.“ Come, eat some of my food, and drink some of the wine I have mixed.Abandon your foolish ways so that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding.”

All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.

“ But wisdom– where can it be found? Where is the place of understanding?Mankind does not know its place; it cannot be found in the land of the living.The deep says,‘ It is not with me.’ And the sea says,‘ It is not with me.’Fine gold cannot be given in exchange for it, nor can its price be weighed out in silver.It cannot be measured out for purchase with the gold of Ophir, with precious onyx or sapphires.Neither gold nor crystal can be compared with it, nor can a vase of gold match its worth.Of coral and jasper no mention will be made; the price of wisdom is more than pearls.The topaz of Cush cannot be compared with it; it cannot be purchased with pure gold.“ But wisdom– where does it come from? Where is the place of understanding?For it has been hidden from the eyes of every living creature, and from the birds of the sky it has been concealed.Destruction and Death say,‘ With our ears we have heard a rumor about where it can be found.’God understands the way to it, and he alone knows its place.For he looks to the ends of the earth and observes everything under the heavens.When he made the force of the wind and measured the waters with a gauge.When he imposed a limit for the rain, and a path for the thunderstorm,then he looked at wisdom and assessed its value; he established it and examined it closely.And he said to mankind,‘ The fear of the LORD– that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

So Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the LORD has put skill and ability to know how to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary are to do the work according to all that the LORD has commanded.”Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the LORD had put skill– everyone whose heart stirred him to volunteer to do the work,and they received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to do the work for the service of the sanctuary, and they still continued to bring him a freewill offering each morning.So all the skilled people who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came from the work they were doing

to the latter an odor from death to death, but to the former a fragrance from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?

So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way from home his father saw him, and his heart went out to him; he ran and hugged his son and kissed him.Then his son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’But the father said to his slaves,‘ Hurry! Bring the best robe, and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet!

Then he appeared to the eleven themselves, while they were eating, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him resurrected.
