This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people:

The Lord speaks to me while his powerful hand is on me. He is warning me not to live the way these people live. He says,

For the Lord spoke thus to me with his strong hand upon me, and warned me not to walk in the way of this people, saying:

The Lord has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said,

For this is what the LORD said to me with great power, to keep me from going the way of this people:

For so the Lord spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

Indeed this is what the LORD told me. He took hold of me firmly and warned me not to act like these people:

The Spirit then lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the Lord on me. (niv)

my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths; (niv)

And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.” (niv)

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. (niv)

You deceived me, Lord, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me. (niv)

As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” (niv)

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. (niv)

But if I say,“ I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. (niv)
