All day long I have held out my hands to an obstinate people, who walk in ways not good, pursuing their own imaginations—

All day long I have held out my hands to welcome a stubborn nation. They lead sinful lives. They go where their evil thoughts take them.

I spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, following their own devices;

All day long I opened my arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes.

惟指以色列民、則曰、我終日舉手、招悖逆有違言之民矣、

惟彼不從、不傾耳以聽、乃行己謀、徇其惡心之剛愎、退卻不前、

我召爾、爾弗從、我伸手、莫之顧、

惟我民不聽我聲、以色列不納我兮、我則任其剛愎厥心、依己所謀而行兮、

天其聽之、地其側耳、蓋耶和華言曰、我撫養諸子、而彼背逆我、

耶路撒冷歟、爾其洗心去惡、庶可獲救、爾懷惡念、伊於胡底、

蓋我知爾悖逆強項、我今猶存、與爾同在、爾尚悖逆耶和華、況我歿後乎、

其時人必稱耶路撒冷為耶和華之位、列邦必緣耶和華名、集於耶路撒冷、不復徇其惡念、剛愎而行、

惟民叛逆、使其聖神懷憂、故轉為讐、而自攻之、

耶和華鑒觀世人、罪惡貫盈、心所圖維、恆為邪慝、

爾觀其繸、可憶耶和華誡、而遵行之、不致隨爾心目、狥欲如故、

耶路撒冷歟、耶路撒冷歟、殺先知、石擊使於爾者乎、我欲集爾赤子、似牝鷄集雛翼下者屢矣、而爾不欲也、

惟斯民懷叛逆之心、背我而去、

或以樹善、其果亦善、樹惡、其果亦惡、蓋由果而識樹矣、蝮類乎、爾既惡、言何能善、蓋充諸心者、出諸口也、

強暴之人、誘惑鄰里、引入不善之途、

當憶弗忘、爾在曠野、激爾上帝耶和華之怒、自出埃及至此、爾違逆耶和華、

蓋惡念、兇殺、淫亂、苟合、盜竊、妄證、訕謗、

人子歟、我遣爾詣以色列人、彼乃悖逆之邦、悖逆乎我、彼與列祖、獲罪於我、迄至今日、其人顏厚心頑、我遣爾詣之曰、主耶和華有言告爾、彼乃悖逆之家、或聽或否、必知有先知在其中、惟爾人子、雖居荊棘蒺藜與蠍之中、勿畏之、亦勿畏其言、彼雖悖逆之家、勿畏其言、勿懼其貌、彼悖逆特甚、其聽與否、爾必以我言告之、

既近、見城、則為之哭、曰、倘爾於是日、知關乎平安之事則幸、但今隱於爾目矣、

聞此詛言、猶中心自慰曰、我雖剛愎自用、渴時痛飲、亦可獲安、

其所思所為、我悉知之、屆期、我必會集諸民諸族、彼必來瞻我之榮光、

在牀謀孽、立於邪途、不憎惡事兮、○

凡為己慾所誘惑者、乃見試也、慾既孕則生罪、罪既成則產死、

其足趨以行惡、急流無辜之血、衷存邪慝、所經之途、無不荒蕪毀滅、不識平康之路、所行不公、自闢曲徑、行其中者、不獲綏安、

作惡之輩、當離其途、不義之人、當易其念、歸於耶和華、彼必恤之、歸於我上帝、彼必普施赦宥、

爾之牧伯悖逆、黨於盜賊、好賄賂、索苞苴、不伸孤子之冤、不理嫠婦之訟、○

爾曹強項、心與耳未受割者、恆逆聖神、爾祖所行、爾亦行之、先知中、不為爾祖窘逐者誰乎、且殺預言義者將至之人、此義者爾今賣而殺之矣、

耶路撒冷歟、耶路撒冷歟、殺先知石擊使於爾者乎、我欲集爾赤子、似牝鷄集雛翼下者屢矣、而爾不欲也、

乃任爾剛愎、罔有悛心、積怒厥躬、以至上帝震怒、顯其義鞫之日、

猶太人殺主耶穌及諸先知、又窘逐我儕、不悅於上帝、且敵眾人、禁我儕語異邦人、使之得救、常盈厥罪、而震怒盡臨之矣、○
