我儕皆如不潔之人、所視為善義、悉如污穢之衣、我儕衰枯、猶如落葉、我儕之罪愆逐我、如被風飄、

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

All of us have become like someone who is“ unclean.” All the good things we do are like dirty rags to you. All of us are like leaves that have dried up. Our sins sweep us away like the wind.

We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

Because you say,‘ I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t know that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked,I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sinsin which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens, the spirit now working in the disobedient.

For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it.

What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this dying body?

How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

Who can produce something pure from what is impure? No one!

You end their lives; they sleep. They are like grass that grows in the morning—in the morning it sprouts and grows; by evening it withers and dries up.

Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the Angel.

I had heard rumors about You, but now my eyes have seen You.Therefore I take back my words and repent in dust and ashes.

We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the Lord has punished Him for the iniquity of us all.

For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ— the righteousness from God based on faith.

A voice was saying,“ Cry out!” Another said,“ What should I cry out?”“ All humanity is grass, and all its goodness is like the flower of the field.The grass withers, the flowers fade when the breath of the Lord blows on them; indeed, the people are grass.The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God remains forever.”

Then one of the elders asked me,“ Who are these people robed in white, and where did they come from?”

Listen to me, you hardhearted, far removed from justice:

Then I said: Woe is me for I am ruined because I am a man of unclean lips and live among a people of unclean lips, and because my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts.

Indeed, I was guilty when I was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.

What is man, that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?If God puts no trust in His holy ones and the heavens are not pure in His sight,how much less one who is revolting and corrupt, who drinks injustice like water?

“ At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem,‘ A searing wind blows from the barren heights in the wilderness on the way to My dear people. It comes not to winnow or to sift;a wind too strong for this comes at My call. Now I will also pronounce judgments against them.’”

“ This is Wickedness,” he said. He shoved her down into the basket and pushed the lead weight over its opening.Then I looked up and saw two women approaching with the wind in their wings. Their wings were like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and sky.So I asked the angel who was speaking with me,“ Where are they taking the basket?”“ To build a shrine for it in the land of Shinar,” he told me.“ When that is ready, the basket will be placed there on its pedestal.”

A wind with its wings will carry them off, and they will be ashamed of their sacrifices.

I am so insignificant. How can I answer You? I place my hand over my mouth.

“ Listen to this, house of Jacob— those who are called by the name Israel and have descended from Judah, who swear by the name of Yahweh and declare the God of Israel, but not in truth or righteousness.

The wicked are not like this; instead, they are like chaff that the wind blows away.

I will expose your righteousness, and your works— they will not profit you.When you cry out, let your collection of idols deliver you! The wind will carry all of them off, a breath will take them away. But whoever takes refuge in Me will inherit the land and possess My holy mountain.

but the one who is rich should boast in his humiliation because he will pass away like a flower of the field.For the sun rises with its scorching heat and dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will wither away while pursuing his activities.

For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word that was preached as the gospel to you.
