I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; I will be overjoyed because of my God. For he clothes me in garments of deliverance; he puts on me a robe symbolizing vindication. I look like a bridegroom when he wears a turban as a priest would; I look like a bride when she puts on her jewelry.

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

The people of Jerusalem will say,“ We take great delight in the Lord. We are joyful because we belong to our God. He has dressed us with salvation as if it were our clothes. He has put robes of godliness on us. We are like a groom who is dressed up for his wedding. We are like a bride who decorates herself with her jewels.

and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness– a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.

And I saw the holy city– the new Jerusalem– descending out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband.

I will protect her priests, and her godly people will shout exuberantly.

For the kingdom of God does not consist of food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Look all around you! All of them gather to you. As surely as I live,” says the LORD,“ you will certainly wear all of them like jewelry; you will put them on as if you were a bride.

After these things I looked, and here was an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands.They were shouting out in a loud voice,“ Salvation belongs to our God, to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!”And all the angels stood there in a circle around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground before the throne and worshiped God,saying,“ Amen! Praise and glory, and wisdom and thanksgiving, and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!”Then one of the elders asked me,“ These dressed in long white robes– who are they and where have they come from?”So I said to him,“ My lord, you know the answer.” Then he said to me,“ These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb!

I will rejoice because of the LORD; I will be happy because of the God who delivers me!

Those whom the LORD has ransomed will return; they will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.

You have not seen him, but you love him. You do not see him now but you believe in him, and so you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

“‘ Then I passed by you and watched you, noticing that you had reached the age for love. I spread my cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I swore a solemn oath to you and entered into a marriage covenant with you, declares the sovereign LORD, and you became mine.“‘ Then I bathed you in water, washed the blood off you, and anointed you with fragrant oil.I dressed you in embroidered clothing and put fine leather sandals on your feet. I wrapped you with fine linen and covered you with silk.I adorned you with jewelry. I put bracelets on your hands and a necklace around your neck.I put a ring in your nose, earrings on your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.You were adorned with gold and silver, while your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidery. You ate the finest flour, honey, and olive oil. You became extremely beautiful and attained the position of royalty.Your fame spread among the nations because of your beauty; your beauty was perfect because of the splendor which I bestowed on you, declares the sovereign LORD.“‘ But you trusted in your beauty and capitalized on your fame by becoming a prostitute. You offered your sexual favors to every man who passed by so that your beauty became his.You took some of your clothing and made for yourself decorated high places; you engaged in prostitution on them. You went to him to become his.

But the father said to his slaves,‘ Hurry! Bring the best robe, and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet!

Now ascend, O LORD God, to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength! May your priests, O LORD God, experience your deliverance! May your loyal followers rejoice in the prosperity you give!

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Wake up! Wake up! Clothe yourself with strength, O Zion! Put on your beautiful clothes, O Jerusalem, holy city! For uncircumcised and unclean pagans will no longer invade you.

Not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

to strengthen those who mourn in Zion, by giving them a turban, instead of ashes, oil symbolizing joy, instead of mourning, a garment symbolizing praise, instead of discouragement. They will be called oaks of righteousness, trees planted by the LORD to reveal his splendor.

Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires.

They are to make holy garments for your brother Aaron and for his sons, that they may minister as my priests.The artisans are to use the gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen.“ They are to make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, the work of an artistic designer.It is to have two shoulder pieces attached to two of its corners, so it can be joined together.The artistically woven waistband of the ephod that is on it is to be like it, of one piece with the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen.“ You are to take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel,six of their names on one stone, and the six remaining names on the second stone, according to the order of their birth.You are to engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel with the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a seal; you are to have them set in gold filigree settings.You are to put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron will bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial.You are to make filigree settings of goldand two braided chains of pure gold, like a cord, and attach the chains to the settings.“ You are to make a breastpiece for use in making decisions, the work of an artistic designer; you are to make it in the same fashion as the ephod; you are to make it of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen.It is to be square when doubled, nine inches long and nine inches wide.You are to set in it a setting for stones, four rows of stones, a row with a ruby, a topaz, and a beryl– the first row;and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and an emerald;and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;and the fourth row, a chrysolite, an onyx, and a jasper. They are to be enclosed in gold in their filigree settings.The stones are to be for the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to the number of their names. Each name according to the twelve tribes is to be like the engravings of a seal.“ You are to make for the breastpiece braided chains like cords of pure gold,and you are to make for the breastpiece two gold rings and attach the two rings to the upper two ends of the breastpiece.You are to attach the two gold chains to the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece;the other two ends of the two chains you will attach to the two settings and then attach them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it.You are to make two rings of gold and put them on the other two ends of the breastpiece, on its edge that is on the inner side of the ephod.You are to make two more gold rings and attach them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the juncture above the waistband of the ephod.They are to tie the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod by blue cord, so that it may be above the waistband of the ephod, and so that the breastpiece will not be loose from the ephod.Aaron will bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece of decision over his heart when he goes into the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.“ You are to put the Urim and the Thummim into the breastpiece of decision; and they are to be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the LORD. Aaron is to bear the decisions of the Israelites over his heart before the LORD continually.“ You are to make the robe of the ephod completely blue.There is to be an opening in its top in the center of it, with an edge all around the opening, the work of a weaver, like the opening of a collar, so that it cannot be torn.You are to make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet all around its hem and bells of gold between them all around.The pattern is to be a gold bell and a pomegranate, a gold bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe.The robe is to be on Aaron as he ministers, and his sound will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the LORD and when he leaves, so that he does not die.“ You are to make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it the way a seal is engraved:“ Holiness to the LORD.”You are to attach to it a blue cord so that it will be on the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban,It will be on Aaron’s forehead, and Aaron will bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the Israelites are to sanctify by all their holy gifts; it will always be on his forehead, for their acceptance before the LORD.You are to weave the tunic of fine linen and make the turban of fine linen, and make the sash the work of an embroiderer.“ For Aaron’s sons you are to make tunics, sashes, and headbands for glory and for beauty.“ You are to clothe them– your brother Aaron and his sons with him– and anoint them and ordain them and set them apart as holy, so that they may minister as my priests.Make for them linen undergarments to cover their naked bodies; they must cover from the waist to the thighs.These must be on Aaron and his sons when they enter to the tent of meeting, or when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they bear no iniquity and die. It is to be a perpetual ordinance for him and for his descendants after him.

All your garments are perfumed with myrrh, aloes, and cassia. From the luxurious palaces comes the music of stringed instruments that makes you happy.Princesses are among your honored guests, your bride stands at your right hand, wearing jewelry made with gold from Ophir.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven final plagues came and spoke to me, saying,“ Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!”

The princess looks absolutely magnificent, decked out in pearls and clothed in a brocade trimmed with gold.In embroidered robes she is escorted to the king. Her attendants, the maidens of honor who follow her, are led before you.

Finally, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! To write this again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of those who mutilate the flesh!For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, exult in Christ Jesus, and do not rely on human credentials

Then he brought out gold, silver jewelry, and clothing and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave valuable gifts to her brother and to her mother.

In a circle around the throne were twenty- four other thrones, and seated on those thrones were twenty- four elders. They were dressed in white clothing and had golden crowns on their heads.
