He said,“ Go and tell this people:“‘ Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’

So he said,“ Go and speak to these people. Tell them,“‘ You will hear but never understand. You will see but never know what you are seeing.’

And he said,“ Go, and say to this people:“‘ Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’

And he said,“ Yes, go, and say to this people,‘ Listen carefully, but do not understand. Watch closely, but learn nothing.’

And he replied: Go! Say to these people: Keep listening, but do not understand; keep looking, but do not perceive.

And He said,“ Go, and tell this people:‘ Keep on listening, but do not understand; And keep on looking, but do not gain knowledge.’

And He said,“ Go, and tell this people:‘ Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’

And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

And He replied: Go! Say to these people: Keep listening, but do not understand; keep looking, but do not perceive.

He said,“ Go and tell these people:‘ Listen continually, but don’t understand! Look continually, but don’t perceive!’

He said,“ The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,“‘ though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’ (niv)

In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:“‘ You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ (niv)

so that,“‘ they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’” (niv)

“ He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn— and I would heal them.” (niv)

The Lord says:“ These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. (niv)

“‘ Go to this people and say,“ You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.”For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ (niv)

Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf. (niv)

as it is written:“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.” (niv)

They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.No one stops to think, no one has the knowledge or understanding to say,“ Half of it I used for fuel; I even baked bread over its coals, I roasted meat and I ate. Shall I make a detestable thing from what is left? Shall I bow down to a block of wood?”Such a person feeds on ashes; a deluded heart misleads him; he cannot save himself, or say,“ Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?” (niv)

Go now, write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, that for the days to come it may be an everlasting witness.For these are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.They say to the seers,“ See no more visions!” and to the prophets,“ Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.Leave this way, get off this path, and stop confronting us with the Holy One of Israel!” (niv)

Then the Lord said to me:“ Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go!And if they ask you,‘ Where shall we go?’ tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says:“‘ Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.’ (niv)

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt.They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said,‘ These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’“ I have seen these people,” the Lord said to Moses,“ and they are a stiff-necked people.Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.” (niv)

Then the Lord said,“ Call him Lo- Ammi( which means“ not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God. (niv)
