乃希實本王西宏、不容我過其境、蓋爾上帝耶和華使其心志頑梗、致付爾手、有如今日、

非詣方言殊異、其語難明之列國、其言爾所不識、我若遣爾詣之、彼必願聽、惟以色列家、顙堅心頑、必不聽爾、以其不聽我也、我堅爾面、抵彼之面、我堅爾顙、抵彼之顙、我使爾顙如石、堅於火石、彼雖悖逆之家、勿畏之、勿懼其貌、又曰、人子歟、凡我諭爾之言、必耳聞而心受之、往詣爾同族之俘囚、告之曰、主耶和華如此言、無論其聽與否、○

彼心鈍如蒙脂、惟我悅爾律兮、

我必使埃及人剛愎厥心、追入於海、我將因法老、及其軍旅車騎而獲榮焉、

摩西亞倫行此異蹟於法老前、而耶和華使之剛愎厥心、不釋以色列人出其境、

耶和華必擊埃及、擊之而復醫之、眾則歸附耶和華、彼必聽其所祈而醫之、○

我將使之剛愎厥心、且多行我之異蹟奇事於埃及、

耶和華使法老剛愎厥心、弗釋以色列人、

於此為由死致死之臭味、於彼為由生致生之臭味、孰堪任此乎、

故爾當改悔而轉移、令罪塗抹、俾安舒之日自主而來、
