久之、猶太人共議殺掃羅、掃羅知其謀、

耶和華立爾為祭司、以代祭司耶何耶大、俾在耶和華室為督、凡狂妄之徒、自稱為先知者、爾當執之、拘以項械、加以桎梏、

宜語之曰、斯乃不聽其上帝耶和華之言、不受訓誨之國、真實亡矣、絕於其口、○

掃羅向主之門徒、仍出威嚇殺戮之言、詣大祭司、

保羅如此申訴、非斯都大聲曰、保羅、爾狂矣、爾多學、令爾狂矣、

我若狂則為上帝、若自制、則為爾曹、

耶和華歟、敬虔者熄其跡、忠信者絕於世、尚其拯救兮、彼眾與鄰言誑、厥口諂諛、中懷貳心、

爾其往來於耶路撒冷之衢、於其寬廣之區察視之、索一行公義求信實者、若有之、我必宥斯邑、彼雖指維生之耶和華而誓、猶為妄誓、

耶戶出、至其主之諸臣、其一問曰、安乎、此顚狂者詣爾何事、曰、爾識其人、亦知其言、

然耶和華不欲滅大衛家、因與大衛立約、許以永賜燈光於彼、爰及子孫、

雅各家、以以色列名而稱、自猶大源而出者、其聽我言、爾指耶和華之名而誓、稱揚以色列之上帝、惟非以誠以義、

爾目清潔、不視邪惡、不觀橫逆、爾何顧諟行詐者乎、惡人吞噬義於己者、爾何緘默乎、何使人若海魚、若無主匍匐之物乎、

以色列人歟、其聽耶和華言、耶和華與斯土居民爭辯、因其境內無誠實、無仁慈、無識上帝之知識、惟妄誓、失信、殺戮、偷盜、姦淫、殘暴是行、疊流人血、

又有受戲玩、鞭扑、縲絏、囹圄之試、受石擊、鋸解、磨練、死於鋒刃、衣綿羊山羊之皮而流離、受窮乏、患難、暴虐、於荒野、山嶺、洞穴、地窟、轉徙無常、若此之人、斯世不堪有者也、

虔敬者亡於斯土、正直者泯於人間、皆伏伺以流血、各張網羅、以獵昆弟、

喪事既畢、大衛召之入宮、遂為其妻、因而生子、然大衛所為、耶和華不悅之、

如經云、我儕緣爾終日見殺、視如將宰之羊、
