You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead!

You took olive oil to the god named Molek. You took a lot of perfume along with you. You sent your messengers to places far away. You even sent them down to the place of the dead.

不要让人藉着故作谦虚和敬拜天使夺去你们的奖赏。这等人拘泥在所见过的幻象，随着自己的欲望无故地自高自大，

凡妓女都是得人赠礼，你反倒馈赠你所爱的人，倒贴他们，使他们从四围来与你行淫。

亚哈斯派使者到亚述王提革拉‧毗列色那里，说：“我是你的仆人，你的儿子。现在亚兰王和以色列王攻击我，求你上来，救我脱离他们的手。”亚哈斯将耶和华殿里和王宫府库里所有的金银都送给亚述王为礼物。亚述王答应了他，上去攻打大马士革，攻下了城，杀了利汛，把居民掳到吉珥。亚哈斯王到大马士革迎接亚述王提革拉‧毗列色，在大马士革看见一座坛。亚哈斯王把坛的规模和样式，以及作法的细节，送到乌利亚祭司那里。乌利亚祭司照着亚哈斯王从大马士革所送来的一切，在亚哈斯王还未从大马士革回来之前，筑了一座坛。

以法莲以风为食物，终日追逐东风，增添虚谎和残暴，与亚述立约，也把油送到埃及。

有人屈膝，有人下跪；所以，不要饶恕他们。

以法莲好像鸽子愚蠢无知，他们求告埃及，投奔亚述。

祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，他们仰赖马匹，倚靠甚多的战车，并倚靠强壮的骑兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。其实，耶和华有智慧，他降灾祸，并不撤回自己的话，却要兴起攻击作恶之家，攻击那帮助人作恶的。埃及人不过是人，并非上帝，他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的必绊跌，受帮助的也必跌倒，都一同灭亡。
