You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead!

You took olive oil to the god named Molek. You took a lot of perfume along with you. You sent your messengers to places far away. You even sent them down to the place of the dead.

You journeyed to the king with oil and multiplied your perfumes; you sent your envoys far off, and sent down even to Sheol.

You have gone to Molech with olive oil and many perfumes, sending your agents far and wide, even to the world of the dead.

耶和華宣告：「禍哉！悖逆的兒女！他們所行的計劃不出於我，所立的盟約不出於我的靈，致使他們罪上加罪。他們沒有求問我，就起身下埃及去，在法老的保護下避難，投靠在埃及的蔭庇下。因此，法老的保護必成為他們的恥辱；投靠在埃及的蔭庇下，也必成為他們的羞愧。雖然他們的首領們已經在瑣安，他們的使者們已經到達哈內斯，但他們卻因那無益之民而蒙羞——那民不能給他們帶來幫助和益處，只能帶來恥辱和羞辱。」與南地動物有關的默示：他們把財富馱在驢子背上，把寶物馱在駱駝峰上，經過艱難困苦之地，就是公獅、母獅、蝮蛇和會飛的火蛇出沒之地，要到一個無益於他們的民那裡。

不要讓任何人藉著故意謙卑和敬拜天使來奪去你們的獎賞；他們沉迷在自己所看到的幻象中，在自己肉體的理性之下，毫無理由地自我膨脹，

這樣，人人降卑，個個卑賤。耶和華啊，求你不要饒恕他們！

禍哉！那些下埃及求幫助的人！他們依仗馬匹，依靠戰車眾多、馬兵強大，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，也不尋求耶和華。然而耶和華有智慧，他降下災禍，不收回自己的話；他起來攻擊作惡者的家，攻擊助紂為虐的人。埃及人不過是人，不是神；他們的馬不過是血肉，不是靈。耶和華一伸手，那幫助人的就會絆倒，受幫助的也會仆倒，他們都會一同滅絕。
