Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the promises assured to David.

Look up to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and its inhabitants will die like gnats. I disregarded them, says the Lord, because they did not continue in My covenant.But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.And each person will not teach his fellow citizen, and each his brother, saying,“ Know the Lord,” because they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them.For I will be merciful to their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.By saying, a new covenant, He has declared that the first is old. And what is old and aging is about to disappear.

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus— the great Shepherd of the sheep— with the blood of the everlasting covenant,equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever. Amen.

But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, it is clear what sort of people you should be in holy conduct and godlinessas you wait for and earnestly desire the coming of the day of God. The heavens will be on fire and be dissolved because of it, and the elements will melt with the heat.But based on His promise, we wait for the new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will dwell.

They will not hunger or thirst, the scorching heat or sun will not strike them; for their compassionate One will guide them, and lead them to springs of water.

Is it not true my house is with God? For He has established an everlasting covenant with me, ordered and secured in every detail. Will He not bring about my whole salvation and my every desire?

For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or one stroke of a letter will pass from the law until all things are accomplished.

And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the forces of Hades will not overpower it.

He saved us— not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy— through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
