We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

從前你們好像是迷路的羊，現在卻歸向了你們靈魂的牧人和監護者。

因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，以無罪之身代替不義之人，為要領你們到上帝面前。祂的肉體雖被處死，但祂藉著聖靈復活了。

我像隻迷途的羊，求你來尋找僕人，因為我沒有忘記你的命令。

耶穌受害而死是為了我們的過犯，祂復活是為了使我們成為義人。

正如聖經上說：「沒有義人，一個也沒有，沒有人明白，沒有人尋求上帝。人人偏離正路，變得毫無價值。沒有人行善，一個也沒有。他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓，舌頭上盡是詭詐，嘴唇有蛇的毒液，滿口咒詛，言語惡毒；殺人流血，腳步飛快；所到之處，大肆毀滅；平安之路，他們未曾知道；他們眼中毫無對上帝的畏懼。」我們知道律法所講的都是針對律法之下的人，好叫所有的人都無話可說，使全世界都伏在上帝的審判之下。

他該知道：使一個迷途中的罪人歸回正路就是救一個靈魂脫離死亡，並且會遮蓋許多罪。

這些人就像貪吃的狗，不知飽足，又像什麼都不懂的牧人，人人各行其是，追求自己的利益。

耶穌給他們講了一個比喻：「如果你們有人有一百隻羊，走失了一隻，難道他不暫時把那九十九隻留在草場上，去找那隻迷失的羊，一直到找著為止嗎？他找到後，會歡歡喜喜地把那隻羊扛回家，並邀來朋友鄰居，說，『我走失的羊找到了，來和我一同慶祝吧！』我告訴你們，同樣，一個罪人悔改，在天上也要這樣為他歡喜，甚至比有九十九個不用悔改的義人還歡喜。

願邪惡的人停止作惡，不義的人除掉惡念。願他們歸向耶和華，祂必憐憫他們；願他們歸向我們的上帝，祂必仁慈地赦免他們。

然而，祂被壓傷、受痛苦是耶和華的旨意；祂的性命作了贖罪祭，祂必看見自己的後裔，祂必長久活著。耶和華的旨意必在祂手中實現。

如果一個人有一百隻羊，其中有一隻走迷了路，他會怎麼辦呢？難道不會把那九十九隻撇在山上，去找那隻迷失的羊嗎？我實在告訴你們，如果找到了，他會非常歡喜，甚至比有那九十九隻沒有迷失的羊還歡喜。同樣，你們的天父也不願任何一個卑微的人失喪。

無故恨我的人不計其數，無故害我的仇敵勢力強大，逼我償還我沒有偷過的東西。

當我說某個惡人必滅亡時，如果你不告誡他，勸告他痛改前非，挽救他的性命，他必死在自己的罪中，而我要追究你的責任。
