主天主如是云、昔我民往居伊及、後亞述人無故凌虐之、

For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them.

The Lord and King continues,“ Long ago my people went down to Egypt. They lived there for a while. Later, Assyria crushed them without any reason.

For thus says the Lord God:“ My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there, and the Assyrian oppressed them for nothing.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ Long ago my people chose to live in Egypt. Now they are oppressed by Assyria.

For this is what the Lord GOD says:“ At first my people went down to Egypt to reside there, then Assyria oppressed them without cause.

For this is what the Lord God says:“ My people went down to Egypt first to reside there; then the Assyrian oppressed them without reason.

For thus says the Lord GOD:“ My people went down at first Into Egypt to dwell there; Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah, My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there: and the Assyrian hath oppressed them without cause.

雅各驅群畜、攜迦南所有之貨財、及女子與孫戚族、咸至埃及。

耶和華曰、我僕約百、品行純良。孳孳為義、寅畏乎我、遠諸不善、天下莫與比儗、汝亦鑒之乎。因爾所言、我無故降災、彼亦不失其本心。

惟彼仇敵、銜憾實深、皆出無因、其數眾多、擢髮難計、膂力剛強、予未嘗取諸人、人反使我償兮、

如是、律言人無故惡我者應矣、

以色列族若亡羊、為獅所驅、初為亞述王吞噬、後為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒折骨。

希西家王十四年、亞述王、西拿基立、攻陷猶大諸邑、亞述王遣臘沙基統率大軍、自拉吉至耶路撒冷、攻希西家王、漂工有田、田間有道、近於上沼之溝、師徒既至、立於其側、其時理家事者希勒家子以利亞金繕寫設拿、史官亞薩子約亞俱出、臘沙基曰、爾當告希西家亞述大王云、爾誰恃、爾自以為智勇兼全、善於戰鬥、此第誇張之詞耳、爾何所恃而逆我乎、爾於埃及王、倚之若杖、不知彼猶已折之萑葦、按手其上、必為所刺、凡倚埃及王法老者亦若是、抑爾言恃爾上帝耶和華、何希西家廢其崇邱、去其祭壇、命猶大及耶路撒冷之民、惟在一臺崇拜乎、今當以人質於我主亞述王、則我予爾馬二千匹、爾能使人乘之否、不能、曷能禦我主之僕、武士長至微之一乎、然則爾恃埃及、欲得車馬、亦奚以為、昔耶和華命我曰、當滅斯國、今我來攻斯土。豈非遵命而行乎、以利亞金與設拿、約亞告臘沙基曰、我儕識亞蘭方言、可用之與我語、勿用猶大方言、恐城上之民聞之、臘沙基曰、我主遣我、不第與爾、及爾主言也、亦使我與城上之民言、使彼及爾、自啖其遺溺、臘沙基遂立、用猶大方言、大聲呼曰、亞述大王之言、爾其聽之、勿為希西家所誘、彼不能拯爾、希西家使爾恃耶和華、望其拯爾、及爾城垣、不付於亞述王手、爾勿聽焉、蓋亞述王曰、爾當與我修和、歸誠於我、厥後可各食其葡萄、及無花果、各飲己井之水、迨我遷國、往彼異方、與爾故土相同、有穀有酒、有餅、葡萄園、具備、希西家言、爾必見拯於耶和華、爾勿聽焉、四方民所事之上帝、豈得救其國、脫於亞述王手乎、哈末亞八之上帝安在、西法瓦音之上帝安在、豈得救撒馬利亞邑於我手乎、列國諸上帝中、孰一救其國於我手、是則耶和華、焉能救耶路撒冷於我手乎、民聞是言、不措一詞、蓋王有命、勿應之。理家事希勒家子、以利亞金、繕寫設拿、史官亞薩子約亞、自裂其衣、以臘沙基言反告於王。

亞述軍至我地、陟我岡、我必覆亡之、蹂躪之、脫民於苛役、去民之重軛、

惟爾企望兮、不至貽羞、謀為不軌兮、適足增愧、

約瑟遂遣兄弟迎父雅各、與族七十五人、於是雅各及我列祖、咸往埃及終焉、
