看哪，我要做一件新事，现在就要发生了！难道你们不知道吗？我必在旷野开道路，在荒漠开江河。野地的禽兽中，连豺狗和鸵鸟也必尊崇我，因为我赐水给旷野，赐河流给荒漠——这是为了给我拣选的百姓水喝。

那时，瘸腿的必如鹿跳跃，哑巴的舌头也必欢唱。在旷野将有水涌出，在荒漠将有溪涌流。灼热的沙地将成为池塘，干涸之地将成为水泉；豺狗躺卧的巢，鸵鸟的窝都将变为芦苇和蒲草。

那些困苦和贫穷的人寻找水，却没有水；他们的舌头因干渴而焦燥；我耶和华必回应他们，以色列的神必不离弃他们。我要在光秃的高地开江河，在山谷开泉源；我要使旷野成为水池，使干旱之地成为水源。

他打开磐石，水就涌出，在那干旱之地流淌如河；

在大行杀戮的日子，在城楼倒塌的时候，一切崇山峻岭都将有溪水涌流。

他们既不饥饿也不口渴，炎热和太阳也不会伤害他们，因为那怜悯他们的必引领他们，带领他们到水泉旁边。

看哪，虽然他曾击打磐石、使水涌出、溪流漫溢，难道他还能够赐下粮食吗？还能为自己的子民预备肉吗？”

他在旷野使磐石裂开，给他们喝多如深渊的水。
