我这样做是为了自己，我岂能让自己的名受亵渎，把自己的荣耀给别人？

要知道，我必为自己的缘故和我仆人大卫的缘故，保护拯救这城。’”

因此我从前就向你宣告了，在事情临到之前就告知你了，免得你说：‘这些是我的偶像所行的，是我雕刻和铸造的偶像所命定的。’

现在这情形对我有什么意义！”这是耶和华的宣告。“我的子民被人无偿地带走；管辖他们的人在号叫；我的名终日不断地被藐视。”这是耶和华的宣告。

事实上，正如经上所记：“因你们的缘故，神的名在外邦人中受到亵渎。”

好使所有的人都尊重子，就像尊重父那样。不尊重子的，就是不尊重派他来的父。
