Disaster will come upon you, and you will not know how to conjure it away. A calamity will fall upon you that you cannot ward off with a ransom; a catastrophe you cannot foresee will suddenly come upon you.

So horrible trouble will come on you. You will not know how to use your evil magic to make it go away. Great trouble will fall on you. No amount of money can keep it away. Something terrible will happen to you all at once. You will not see it coming ahead of time.

But evil shall come upon you, which you will not know how to charm away; disaster shall fall upon you, for which you will not be able to atone; and ruin shall come upon you suddenly, of which you know nothing.

So disaster will overtake you, and you won’t be able to charm it away. Calamity will fall upon you, and you won’t be able to buy your way out. A catastrophe will strike you suddenly, one for which you are not prepared.

But disaster will happen to you; you will not know how to avert it. And it will fall on you, but you will be unable to ward it off. Devastation will happen to you suddenly and unexpectedly.

人正说平安稳定的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同阵痛临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝逃脱不了。

主人就大怒，把他交给司刑的，直到他还清了所欠的债。

“你们忘记神的，要思想这事，免得我把你们撕碎，无人搭救。

耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，看哪，都是死尸。

我们的敌人说：“趁他们不知道，看不见的时候，我们进入他们中间，杀了他们，使工作停止。”

他们食欲一来的时候，我必为他们摆设酒席，使他们沉醉，好叫他们快乐；他们睡了长觉，永不醒起。这是耶和华说的。我必使他们像羔羊、像公绵羊和公山羊被牵去宰杀。示沙克竟然被攻取！全地所称赞的被占据！巴比伦在列国中竟然变为荒凉！海水涨起，漫过巴比伦；澎湃的海浪遮盖了它。

“所写的文字是：‘弥尼，弥尼，提客勒，乌法珥新。’解释是这样：弥尼就是神数算你国的年日到此完毕。提客勒就是你被秤在天平上，秤出你的亏欠来。毗勒斯就是你的国要分裂，归给玛代人和波斯人。”于是伯沙撒下令，人就把紫袍给但以理穿上，把金链给他戴在颈项上，又传令使他在国中位列第三。当夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被杀。

所以，要记得你所领受和听见的；要遵守，并要悔改。你若不警醒，我必如贼一样来到；我几时来到你那里，你绝不会知道。

地上的君王，与她行淫、一同奢华的，看见烧她的烟，就必为她哭泣哀号；因怕她的痛苦，就远远地站着，说：“祸哉，祸哉，这大城！坚固的巴比伦城啊！一时之间，你的审判要来到了。”

到了半夜，耶和华把埃及地所有头生的，就是从坐宝座的法老，到关在牢里的人的长子，以及一切头生的牲畜，尽都杀了。法老和他众臣仆，以及所有的埃及人，都在夜间起来了。在埃及有大大的哀号，因为没有一家不死人的。

我告诉你，就是最后一小文钱还没有还清，你也绝不能从那里出来。”
