I was the first to tell Zion,‘ Look, here they are!’ I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good news.

I was the first to tell Zion. I said,‘ Look! The people of Israel are coming back!’ I sent a messenger to Jerusalem with the good news.

I was the first to say to Zion,“ Behold, here they are!” and I give to Jerusalem a herald of good news.

I was the first to tell Zion,‘ Look! Help is on the way!’ I will send Jerusalem a messenger with good news.

who says of Cyrus,‘ He is my shepherd and will accomplish all that I please; he will say of Jerusalem,“ Let it be rebuilt,” and of the temple,“ Let its foundations be laid.”’ (niv)

I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass. (niv)

Look, there on the mountains, the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace! Celebrate your festivals, Judah, and fulfill your vows. No more will the wicked invade you; they will be completely destroyed. (niv)

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:“‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. “ To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. (niv)

And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written:“ How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (niv)

Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord— with the first of them and with the last— I am he.” (niv)

“ You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,“ and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. (niv)

But the angel said to them,“ Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. (niv)
