惟仰望主者、必增新膂力、如鷹羽脫而重生、如鷹羽脫而重生或作如鷹張翼飛翔趨則不困、行則不倦、

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

But those who trust in the Lord will receive new strength. They will fly as high as eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not grow weak.

因此我們不喪膽。即使我們外在的人漸漸衰朽，我們內在的人還是日日被更新。

他用福份使你的心願滿足，以致你返老還童，如鷹一般！

我確實相信：在活人之地我必會看到耶和華的美善。你要等候耶和華！當堅強，也願你的心勇敢。你要等候耶和華！

但他對我說：「我的恩典是夠你用的，因為我的大能在軟弱中得以完全。」因此，我反而極其樂意地誇耀我的那些軟弱，好讓基督的能力遮蓋在我身上。所以，為了基督的緣故，我在那些軟弱中、凌辱中、艱難中、在逼迫和困苦中，都感到喜悅；因為我什麼時候軟弱，什麼時候就剛強了。

因此，我們既然有這麼一大群見證人，如同雲彩圍繞著我們，就讓我們脫去各樣的重擔和容易纏累我們的罪，藉著忍耐去跑那擺在我們前面的賽程，

我們行美善的事不要喪膽；如果不放棄，到了所定的時候就會有收穫。

但如果我們盼望那看不見的，就要藉著忍耐來熱切等待。

他們行走，力上加力，各人到錫安朝見神。

雖然如此，耶和華卻等候著要恩待你們；因此，他會起來憐憫你們，因為耶和華是公正的神；所有等候他的，都是蒙福的！

我們處處受患難，卻不被壓碎；心裡困惑，卻沒有絕望；受逼迫，卻不被撇棄；被打倒，卻沒有滅亡。我們身上總是帶著耶穌的死，好讓耶穌的生命也在我們身上顯明出來。

耶穌對他們講了一個比喻，說他們必須常常禱告，不要喪膽。

你當等候耶和華，謹守他的道路；他就高舉你，使你繼承地土；惡人被剪除的時候，你必看到。

到那日，必有人說：「看哪，這是我們的神，我們等候他，他拯救了我們！這是耶和華，我們等候他，讓我們因他的救恩歡喜快樂！」

在我呼求的日子，你回應了我，使我靈裡力量剛強。

所有等候你的必不致蒙羞，那些無故背信的必會蒙羞。

求你以你的真理引導我、教導我，因為你是拯救我的神；我終日等候你。

弟兄們，我們不願意你們不明白我們在亞細亞省所遭受的患難：我們所受的壓力遠遠過於我們的承受能力，甚至連活下去的希望也沒有了。然而我們在自己裡面已經承受了死亡的判決，好讓我們不依靠自己，而依靠那使死人復活的神。他救我們脫離了如此致命的危險，並且將來要救我們——我們盼望他將來還要救我們。

其實，你們應當仔細地思想耶穌如何忍受了罪人的頂撞，這樣你們心裡就不會因喪氣而疲倦。

看哪！僕人的眼睛怎樣望著自己主人的手，婢女的眼睛怎樣望著自己主母的手，我們的眼睛也照樣望著耶和華我們的神，直到他恩待我們。

我切切等候耶和華，他就轉向我，垂聽我的呼救。

願純全和正直守護我，因為我等候你。

我必使他們因耶和華而強盛，他們必奉耶和華的名而行。」

所以，我們既然得了這服事的工作，正如我們蒙了憐憫，我們就不喪膽；

我要等候向雅各家掩面的耶和華，我要仰望他！

你也有忍耐，曾為我的名勞苦，並不疲乏。

並且等候他那從天降臨的兒子，就是神使他從死人中復活的耶穌——他拯救我們脫離那將要來臨的震怒。

他們被栽種在耶和華的殿中，在我們神的院宇中茂盛。

稱謝耶和華、歌頌至高者你的名，是多麼美好——

第一個活物彷彿獅子，第二個活物彷彿牛犢，第三個活物有像人一樣的臉，第四個活物彷彿飛翔的鷹。
