惟仰望主者、必增新膂力、如鷹羽脫而重生、如鷹羽脫而重生或作如鷹張翼飛翔趨則不困、行則不倦、

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

因此我们不丧胆。即使我们外在的人渐渐衰朽，我们内在的人还是日日被更新。

他用福份使你的心愿满足，以致你返老还童，如鹰一般！

我确实相信：在活人之地我必会看到耶和华的美善。你要等候耶和华！当坚强，也愿你的心勇敢。你要等候耶和华！

但他对我说：“我的恩典是够你用的，因为我的大能在软弱中得以完全。”因此，我反而极其乐意地夸耀我的那些软弱，好让基督的能力遮盖在我身上。所以，为了基督的缘故，我在那些软弱中、凌辱中、艰难中、在逼迫和困苦中，都感到喜悦；因为我什么时候软弱，什么时候就刚强了。

因此，我们既然有这么一大群见证人，如同云彩围绕着我们，就让我们脱去各样的重担和容易缠累我们的罪，藉着忍耐去跑那摆在我们前面的赛程，

我们行美善的事不要丧胆；如果不放弃，到了所定的时候就会有收获。

但如果我们盼望那看不见的，就要藉着忍耐来热切等待。

他们行走，力上加力，各人到锡安朝见神。

虽然如此，耶和华却等候着要恩待你们；因此，他会起来怜悯你们，因为耶和华是公正的神；所有等候他的，都是蒙福的！

我们处处受患难，却不被压碎；心里困惑，却没有绝望；受逼迫，却不被撇弃；被打倒，却没有灭亡。我们身上总是带着耶稣的死，好让耶稣的生命也在我们身上显明出来。

耶稣对他们讲了一个比喻，说他们必须常常祷告，不要丧胆。

你当等候耶和华，谨守他的道路；他就高举你，使你继承地土；恶人被剪除的时候，你必看到。

到那日，必有人说：“看哪，这是我们的神，我们等候他，他拯救了我们！这是耶和华，我们等候他，让我们因他的救恩欢喜快乐！”

在我呼求的日子，你回应了我，使我灵里力量刚强。

所有等候你的必不致蒙羞，那些无故背信的必会蒙羞。

求你以你的真理引导我、教导我，因为你是拯救我的神；我终日等候你。

弟兄们，我们不愿意你们不明白我们在亚细亚省所遭受的患难：我们所受的压力远远过于我们的承受能力，甚至连活下去的希望也没有了。然而我们在自己里面已经承受了死亡的判决，好让我们不依靠自己，而依靠那使死人复活的神。他救我们脱离了如此致命的危险，并且将来要救我们——我们盼望他将来还要救我们。

其实，你们应当仔细地思想耶稣如何忍受了罪人的顶撞，这样你们心里就不会因丧气而疲倦。

看哪！仆人的眼睛怎样望着自己主人的手，婢女的眼睛怎样望着自己主母的手，我们的眼睛也照样望着耶和华我们的神，直到他恩待我们。

我切切等候耶和华，他就转向我，垂听我的呼救。

愿纯全和正直守护我，因为我等候你。

所以，我们既然得了这服事的工作，正如我们蒙了怜悯，我们就不丧胆；

我要等候向雅各家掩面的耶和华，我要仰望他！

你也有忍耐，曾为我的名劳苦，并不疲乏。

并且等候他那从天降临的儿子，就是神使他从死人中复活的耶稣——他拯救我们脱离那将要来临的震怒。

他们被栽种在耶和华的殿中，在我们神的庭院中茂盛。

称谢耶和华、歌颂至高者你的名，是多么美好——

第一个活物仿佛狮子，第二个活物仿佛牛犊，第三个活物有像人一样的脸，第四个活物仿佛飞翔的鹰。
