創地之先、已有大道、爾豈未之知、未之聞耶。

爾豈未知乎、豈未聞乎、豈未自始傳於爾乎、豈未俯察地基而自悟乎、

since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them.For his invisible attributes, that is, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what he has made. As a result, people are without excuse.For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

Those who make them are just like them, as are all who trust in them.

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

But you have forgotten the LORD, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. You are in constant dread all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, who has set himself to destroy. But where is the fury of the oppressor?

When its branches dry out, they will be broken off. Women will come and make fires with them, for they are not a people with understanding. Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them, and their Creator will not be gracious to them.

He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot rescue himself, or say,“ Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?”

So what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision?Considerable in every way. First, they were entrusted with the very words of God.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands.Day after day they pour out speech; night after night they communicate knowledge.There is no speech; there are no words; their voice is not heard.Their message has gone out to the whole earth, and their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun.It is like a bridegroom coming from his home; it rejoices like an athlete running a course.

They are both stupid and foolish, instructed by worthless idols made of wood!Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish and gold from Uphaz. The work of a craftsman and of a goldsmith’s hands is clothed in blue and purple, all the work of skilled artisans.But the LORD is the true God; he is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at his wrath, and the nations cannot endure his fury.You are to say this to them:“ The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.”He made the earth by his power, established the world by his wisdom, and spread out the heavens by his understanding.
