就是我们所听过、所知道的，也是我们的祖先向我们讲述过的——我们不会向子孙隐瞒，而要向后代讲述对耶和华的赞美，讲述他的大能和他所行的奇妙作为。他在雅各中立下法度，在以色列中设立律法，这律法是他吩咐我们的祖先教导子孙的，好让将要出生的后代子孙可以明白，并且起来向他们的子孙讲述；

我必不至于死，却要存活，并要述说耶和华的作为。

凡是你手当做的，你都当极力去做；因为在你必去的阴间没有工作，没有筹划，没有知识，也没有智慧。

我一生都要赞美耶和华；我还活着的时候，要歌颂我的神。

趁着白昼，我们必须做那派我来者的工作；黑夜就要到了！那时候就没有人能做工了。
