For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your truth.

原来，阴间不能称谢你，死亡不能颂扬你；下坑的人不能盼望你的诚实。

陰府死亡之輩、不能彰爾榮譽、臨墓入土之人、不得望爾踐言、

For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

People in the grave can’t praise you. Dead people can’t sing praise to you. Those who go down to the grave can’t hope for you to be faithful to them.

For Sheol does not thank you; death does not praise you; those who go down to the pit do not hope for your faithfulness.

For the dead cannot praise you; they cannot raise their voices in praise. Those who go down to the grave can no longer hope in your faithfulness.

For Sheol cannot thank you; Death cannot praise you. Those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: They that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Indeed Sheol does not give you thanks; death does not praise you. Those who descend into the pit do not anticipate your faithfulness.

For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks?

“ What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth?

So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit; the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.

The wicked is banished in his wickedness, But the righteous has a refuge in his death.

And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’“ Then he said,‘ I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’Abraham said to him,‘ They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’And he said,‘ No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’But he said to him,‘ If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”

But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The dead do not praise the Lord, Nor any who go down into silence.But we will bless the Lord From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord!

Will You work wonders for the dead? Shall the dead arise and praise You? SelahShall Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or Your faithfulness in the place of destruction?
