I waited patiently till dawn, but like a lion he broke all my bones; day and night you made an end of me.

求主使我得聽歡欣喜樂之聲、使主所折磨之形骸、可以踴躍、

王命曳訟但以理之人、與其子及妻、投諸獅穴、未至穴底、獅即囓之、獅即囓之原文作獅勝之碎碎或作斷傷其骨、

主所降於我之災罰、求主除之、我在主手受責、幾乎滅亡、

既往、於途間遇獅、為獅所噬斃、屍仆於途、驢立屍旁、獅亦立於旁、有人過之、見屍仆於途、獅立屍旁、遂入老先知所居之邑、告以此事、使神人歸之老先知聞之、曰、此神人也、因違背主言、故主付之於獅、使獅傷害之、噬斃之、以應主諭彼之言、

爾曹忘天主者、當思念此事、不然、我施行毀滅、無人能救、

是故爾中多有弱者病者、死者亦眾、我儕若自審、則不被審、然被審時、乃受主譴責、以免與世同被定罪、
