Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty- five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning— there were all the dead bodies!

Then the angel of the Lord went into the camp of the Assyrians. He put to death 185,000 soldiers there. The people of Jerusalem got up the next morning. They looked out and saw all the dead bodies.

And the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

当夜，耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来，看哪，都是死尸。

主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的时候，说：“我必惩罚亚述王自大的心和他高傲尊贵的眼目。”

天使向耶路撒冷伸手要毁灭这城的时候，耶和华改变心意，不降那灾难，就对那在百姓中施行毁灭的天使说：“够了！住手吧！”耶和华的使者正在耶布斯人亚劳拿的禾场那里。

亚述必倒在刀下，并非人的刀；有刀要将它吞灭，并非人的刀。它要逃避这刀，它的年轻人必做苦工。

耶和华就差遣一个使者进入亚述王的营中，把所有大能的勇士、官长和将领尽都灭了。亚述王满面羞愧地回到本国，进了他神明的庙中，他几个亲生的儿子在那里用刀杀了他。这样，耶和华救希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脱离亚述王西拿基立的手，也脱离一切仇敌的手，又赐他们四境平安。

看哪，主—万军之耶和华以猛撞削断树枝；巨木必被砍下，高大的树必降为低。稠密的树林，他要用铁器砍下，黎巴嫩必被大能者伐倒。

万邦喧嚷，国度动摇；神出声，地就熔化。万军之耶和华与我们同在，雅各的神是我们的避难所！（细拉）你们来看耶和华的作为，看他使地怎样荒凉。他止息战争，直到地极；他折弓、断枪，把战车焚烧在火中。你们要休息，要知道我是神！我必在列国中受尊崇，在全地也受尊崇。万军之耶和华与我们同在，雅各的神是我们的避难所！

因此，主—万军之耶和华必使亚述王的壮士变为瘦弱，在他的荣华之下必有火点燃，如同火在燃烧一般。以色列的光必变成火，它的圣者必成为火焰；一日之间，将亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜焚烧净尽，又毁灭树林和田园的荣华，连魂带体，好像病重的人消逝一样。他林中只剩下稀少的树木，连孩童也能写其数目。

耶和华必使人听见他威严的声音，又以极大的愤怒、吞灭的火焰、雷雨、暴风和像石块的冰雹，使人看见他降罚的膀臂。亚述必因耶和华的声音惊惶，耶和华必用杖击打它。耶和华必将定规要打的杖加在它身上；每打一下，都必配合击鼓弹琴的节奏。打仗时，耶和华必振臂与它交战。原来陀斐特早已预备好了，是为君王预备的；又深又宽，堆满了火和木柴；耶和华的气息犹如一股硫磺使它燃起。

法老和他众臣仆，以及所有的埃及人，都在夜间起来了。在埃及有大大的哀号，因为没有一家不死人的。

他们高升，不过片刻就没有了；他们降为卑，被除灭，与众人一样，又如谷的穗子被割下。

因为耶和华要走遍埃及，施行击杀，他看见血在门楣上和两边的门框上，耶和华就必逾越那门，不让灭命者进你们的家，施行击杀。

愿他们像风前的糠秕，有耶和华的使者赶逐他们。愿他们的道路又暗又滑，有耶和华的使者追赶他们。

心中勇敢的人都被掠夺；他们睡了长觉，没有一个英雄能措手。雅各的神啊，你的斥责一发，战车和战马都沉睡了。你，惟独你是可畏的！你的怒气一发，谁能在你面前站得住呢？

恶人欢乐的声音是暂时的，不敬虔人的喜乐不过是转眼之间。他的尊荣虽达到天上，头虽顶到云中，他必永远灭亡，像自己的粪一样。看见他的人要说：‘他在哪里呢？’

大卫举目，看见耶和华的使者站在天和地之间，手里有拔出来的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大卫和长老都披上麻布，脸伏于地。

因为你们自己明明知道，主的日子来到会像贼在夜间突然来到一样。人正说平安稳定的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同阵痛临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝逃脱不了。

三年的饥荒，或败在敌人面前，被敌人的刀追杀三个月，或在国中三日有耶和华的刀，就是瘟疫，让耶和华的使者在以色列全境施行毁灭呢？’现在你要想一想，我怎样去回覆那差我来的。”

耶和华说：“现在我要兴起，要高升，要受尊崇。你们怀的是糠秕，生的是碎秸；你们的气息如火吞灭自己。万民必像烧着的石灰，又如斩断的荆棘，在火里燃烧。”

希律不归荣耀给神，所以主的使者立刻击打他，他被虫咬，就断了气。
