耶和华必使亚述王临到你和你的百姓，并你的父家，自从以法莲脱离犹大的时候，未曾有过这样的日子。

看哪，他们的英雄在外面哀号，求和的使臣在痛哭。大路荒凉，行人止息；盟约撕毁，见证被弃，人也不受尊重。

你们的土地荒芜，城镇被火烧毁；你们的田地在你们眼前被陌生人侵吞，既被陌生人倾覆，就成为荒芜。仅存的锡安，好似葡萄园的草棚，如瓜田中的茅屋，又如被围困的城。
