See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.

A king will come who will do what is right. His officials will govern fairly.

Look, a king will promote fairness; officials will promote justice.

For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.

God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The King’s strength also loves justice. You establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

“ Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.“ Speak comfortably to Jerusalem; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of Yahweh’s hand double for all her sins.”The voice of one who calls out,“ Prepare the way of Yahweh in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our God.Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.Yahweh’s glory shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.”

but he will judge the poor with righteousness, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
