The Lord has brought over you a deep sleep: He has sealed your eyes( the prophets); he has covered your heads( the seers).

The Lord has made you fall into a deep sleep. He has closed the eyes of your prophets. He has covered the heads of your seers so they can’t see.

For the Lord has poured out upon you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes( the prophets), and covered your heads( the seers).

For the Lord has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has closed the eyes of your prophets and visionaries.

For the LORD has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to sleep; he has shut your eyes( the prophets) and covered your heads( the seers).

For the Lord has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep, He has shut your eyes— the prophets; And He has covered your heads— the seers.

They know nothing, they understand nothing; their eyes are plastered over so they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand. (niv)

May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent forever. (niv)

He said,“ Go and tell this people:“‘ Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. Therefore night will come over you, without visions, and darkness, without divination. The sun will set for the prophets, and the day will go dark for them. (niv)
