至于那些宰杀公牛也击杀人的，祭献羔羊也打断狗脖子的，献上供物也献上猪血的，烧乳香作记念祭也颂赞偶像的——他们都选择自己的道路，他们的心喜悦自己那些可憎之事；

既然律法带有那将要来的美好事物的影子，它不是那些事物的本像，就绝不能藉着年年不断地献上同样的祭物，使近前来的人得以完全。

耶和华说：“你们所献的众多祭物，对我有什么意义呢？公绵羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油，我已经腻烦了；公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血，我也不喜悦。你们来朝见我时，谁向你们要求这践踏我庭院的事呢？不要再带无用的供物了！献祭的香，是我所憎恶的；新月节、安息日、宣召的聚会——邪恶的严肃会，是我不能容忍的。你们的新月节和所定的节期，是我心里所恨恶的；它们成了我的重负，我已厌倦不堪。你们伸开双手祷告的时候，我必掩目不看你们；就算你们多多祷告，我也不垂听。你们的双手沾满了血！

到那日，主万军之耶和华呼吁你们哭泣哀号、剃光头发、束上麻布。看哪！你们却欢喜快乐，杀牛宰羊，吃肉喝酒，说：“让我们吃喝吧！因为明天我们就要死了。”

他们的磐石必因恐慌而挪移，他们的首领必因敌旗而丧胆。”这是耶和华的宣告——他的火在锡安，他的火炉在耶路撒冷。
