到那日，你們要歌唱這美好的葡萄園：

是日也、釀酒之葡萄園、爾其歌之、

惟我故土、若葡萄園、人為作歌、此倡彼和。耶和華曰、

當是日爾當作歌、論產美酒之葡萄園曰、

In that day—“ Sing about a fruitful vineyard:

At that time the Lord will sing about his fruitful vineyard. He will say,

In that day,“ A pleasant vineyard, sing of it!

“ In that day, sing about the fruitful vineyard.

On that day sing about a desirable vineyard:

In that day sing to her,“ A vineyard of red wine!

In that day: A vineyard of wine, sing ye unto it.

On that day sing about a desirable vineyard:

In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.

When that time comes, sing about a delightful vineyard!

In that day, sing to her,“ A pleasant vineyard!

Yet I planted you as a choice vine, A completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?

“ Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it, and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and he leased it to vine growers and went on a journey.And when the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine growers to receive his fruit.And the vine growers took his slaves and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.Again, he sent other slaves, more than the first; and they did the same things to them.But afterward he sent his son to them, saying,‘ They will respect my son.’But when the vine growers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir; come, let’s kill him and take possession of his inheritance!’And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine growers?”They* said to Him,“ He will bring those wretches to a wretched end and lease the vineyard to other vine growers, who will pay him the fruit in the proper seasons.”Jesus* said to them,“ Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ A stone which the builders rejected, This has become the chief cornerstone; This came about from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.And the one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and on whomever it falls, it will crush him.”When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them.And although they sought to arrest Him, they feared the crowds, since they considered Him to be a prophet.

Let me sing now for my beloved A song of my beloved about His vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill.He dug it all around, cleared it of stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. And He built a tower in the middle of it, And also carved out a wine vat in it; Then He expected it to produce good grapes, But it produced only worthless ones.“ And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, Judge between Me and My vineyard.What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce worthless ones?So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard: I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed; I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground.I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned nor hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also command the clouds not to rain on it.”For the vineyard of the Lord of armies is the house of Israel, And the people of Judah are His delightful plant. So He waited for justice, but behold, there was bloodshed; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.

But He began to tell the people this parable:“ A man planted a vineyard and leased it to vine growers, and went on a journey for a long time.At the harvest time he sent a slave to the vine growers, so that they would give him his share of the produce of the vineyard; but the vine growers beat him and sent him away empty handed.And he proceeded to send another slave; but they beat him also and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty handed.And he proceeded to send a third; but this one too they wounded and threw out.Now the owner of the vineyard said,‘ What am I to do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’But when the vine growers saw him, they discussed with one another, saying,‘ This is the heir; let’s kill him so that the inheritance will be ours.’And so they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them?He will come and put these vine growers to death, and will give the vineyard to others.” However, when they heard this, they said,“ May it never happen!”But Jesus looked at them and said,“ Then what is this statement that has been written:‘ A stone which the builders rejected, This has become the chief cornerstone’?Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will crush him.”

You removed a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it.You cleared the ground before it, And it took deep root and filled the land.The mountains were covered with its shadow, And the cedars of God with its branches.It was sending out its branches to the sea And its shoots to the Euphrates River.Why have You broken down its hedges, So that all who pass that way pick its fruit?A boar from the forest eats it away, And whatever moves in the field feeds on it.God of armies, do turn back; Look down from heaven and see, and take care of this vine,The shoot which Your right hand has planted, And of the son whom You have strengthened for Yourself.It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish from the rebuke of Your face.Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.Lord God of armies, restore us; Make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.

Then Israel sang this song:“ Spring up, O well! Sing to it!
