When its twigs are dry, they are broken off and women come and make fires with them. For this is a people without understanding; so their Maker has no compassion on them, and their Creator shows them no favor.

When their twigs are dry, they will be broken off. Then women will come and make fires with them. The people of Jacob don’t understand the Lord. So the God who made them won’t be concerned about them. Their Creator won’t be kind to them.

When its boughs are dry, they are broken; women come and make a fire of them. For this is a people without discernment; therefore he who made them will not have compassion on them; he who formed them will show them no favor.

The people are like the dead branches of a tree, broken off and used for kindling beneath the cooking pots. Israel is a foolish and stupid nation, for its people have turned away from God. Therefore, the one who made them will show them no pity or mercy.

When its branches dry out, they will be broken off. Women will come and make fires with them, for they are not a people with understanding. Therefore their Maker will not have compassion on them, and their Creator will not be gracious to them.

你的救贖主耶和華——從你在母腹中就塑造了你，他如此說：「是我耶和華造了萬物，我獨自展開了諸天，我單獨鋪張了大地；

雅各啊，創造你的那一位，以色列啊，塑造你的那一位——耶和華如此說：「你不要害怕，因為我救贖了你；我提你的名召喚了你；你是屬於我的！

牛認識牠的主人，驢認識主人的槽；以色列卻不認識我，我的子民卻不領悟。」

他們每個都是被稱為我名下的，是我為自己的榮耀所創造、所塑造的，是我做成的。」

因此，主不喜悅他們的青年人，也不憐憫他們的孤兒寡婦；因為他們都是不敬虔的，是作惡的，各人的口都說愚頑的話。即使如此，耶和華的怒氣還不轉消，他的手仍然伸出。

愚昧無知、不守信用、沒有親情、毫無憐憫。

既然人不願意真正認識神，神就任憑他們存敗壞的理性，去做那些不該做的事。

要知道，那不施憐憫的人，要受毫無憐憫的審判；憐憫勝過審判。

阻止我們向外邦人傳道使外邦人得救。這樣，他們常常積滿自己的罪孽，而神的震怒在最後臨到了他們身上！

無論誰聽了天國的話語而不領悟，那惡者就來，把那撒在他心裡的奪走；這就是那被撒上種子的『路邊之地』。

神要在烈火中報應那些不認識神的人，以及那些不順從我們主耶穌福音的人；他們將受到刑罰，就是永遠的滅亡，從主面前被隔絕，離開他權能的榮耀。

於是耶和華的怒氣向他的子民發作；他厭惡自己的繼業，

耶和華就後悔在地上造了人，心中憂傷。耶和華說：「我要把我所創造的人從地面上抹掉，並且從人到牲畜、到爬行之物、到天空的飛鳥都抹掉，因為我後悔造了他們。」

一個人如果不住在我裡面，就像枝條被丟在外面枯乾了，然後被收集扔進火裡焚燒。

那造你——從你在母腹中就塑造你，並要幫助你的耶和華如此說：「我的僕人雅各，我所揀選的耶書崙哪，你不要害怕！

這樣的人不明白，也不領悟，因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼使他們不能看見，蒙蔽他們的心使他們不能明悟。他們不反思，也沒有知識和聰慧來說：「我用一半的木頭燒火，又在火炭上烘餅，烤肉吃。我怎麼能用剩下的木頭製造可憎之物呢？我怎麼能向一塊木頭膜拜呢？」他們追求的只是灰燼；他們的心受了迷惑，使他們偏離正道；他們不能救自己，也不會說：「我右手中的，難道不是虛謊之物嗎？」雅各啊，以色列啊，你要記住這些，因為你是我的僕人。我造了你，你是我的僕人；以色列啊，你不會被我忘記！

就是你右手所栽種的幼苗，你為自己所堅固的根苗。這葡萄樹在烈火中被燒了，被砍掉了，因你臉上的怒容就要滅亡。

因為這子民的心麻木了，他們充耳不聞，眼睛閉著；免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡領悟，回轉過來，我就使他們痊癒。』

現在斧子已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹都要被砍下來，被丟進火裡。
