是日也、耶和華以其堅剛且鉅之刃、罰彼鱷魚、即滑汰之蛇、罰彼鱷魚、即蟠屈之蛇、並戮海中之龍焉、○

爰有敵人、若海中之鱷魚、其體雄偉、其行迅速、盤曲若蛇、當斯時也、耶和華將持巨刃、堅利無儔、以剪斯敵。

當是日主將以堅利巨刃、殺利未雅坦急趨之蛇、殺利未雅坦盤曲之蛇、並殺海中之龍、

In that day, the Lord will punish with his sword— his fierce, great and powerful sword— Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; he will slay the monster of the sea.

At that time the Lord will punish Leviathan with his sword. His great, powerful and deadly sword will punish the serpent that glides through the sea. He will kill that twisting sea monster.

In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.

In that day the Lord will take his terrible, swift sword and punish Leviathan, the swiftly moving serpent, the coiling, writhing serpent. He will kill the dragon of the sea.

On that day the LORD with his relentless, large, strong sword will bring judgment on Leviathan, the fleeing serpent— Leviathan, the twisting serpent. He will slay the monster that is in the sea.

On that day the Lord will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, With His fierce and great and mighty sword, Even Leviathan the twisted serpent; And He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.

In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

In that day Jehovah with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.

On that day the Lord with His harsh, great, and strong sword, will bring judgment on Leviathan, the fleeing serpent— Leviathan, the twisting serpent. He will slay the monster that is in the sea.

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that[ is] in the sea.

At that time the LORD will punish with his destructive, great, and powerful sword Leviathan the fast-moving serpent, Leviathan the squirming serpent; he will kill the sea monster.

In that day, Yahweh with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.

For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord. (niv)

Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength! Awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old. Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces, who pierced that monster through? (niv)

Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads.Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.She gave birth to a son, a male child, who“ will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.The great dragon was hurled down— that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:“ Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach.Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent.But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring— those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus.And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. (niv)

There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. (niv)

By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the gliding serpent. (niv)

It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave it as food to the creatures of the desert. (niv)

He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. (niv)

The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain,” says the Lord. (niv)

See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer. (niv)

Then Job replied:“ Doubtless you are the only people who matter, and wisdom will die with you!But I have a mind as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know all these things?“ I have become a laughingstock to my friends, though I called on God and he answered— a mere laughingstock, though righteous and blameless!Those who are at ease have contempt for misfortune as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.The tents of marauders are undisturbed, and those who provoke God are secure— those God has in his hand.“ But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food?Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?“ To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.What he tears down cannot be rebuilt; those he imprisons cannot be released.If he holds back the waters, there is drought; if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.To him belong strength and insight; both deceived and deceiver are his.He leads rulers away stripped and makes fools of judges.He takes off the shackles put on by kings and ties a loincloth around their waist.He leads priests away stripped and overthrows officials long established.He silences the lips of trusted advisers and takes away the discernment of elders.He pours contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings utter darkness into the light.He makes nations great, and destroys them; he enlarges nations, and disperses them.He deprives the leaders of the earth of their reason; he makes them wander in a trackless waste.They grope in darkness with no light; he makes them stagger like drunkards. “ Son of man, take up a lament concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him:“‘ You are like a lion among the nations; you are like a monster in the seas thrashing about in your streams, churning the water with your feet and muddying the streams.“‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ With a great throng of people I will cast my net over you, and they will haul you up in my net.I will throw you on the land and hurl you on the open field. I will let all the birds of the sky settle on you and all the animals of the wild gorge themselves on you.I will spread your flesh on the mountains and fill the valleys with your remains. (niv)

when I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me.I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders.” (niv)

Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty. (niv)

Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon. (niv)
