萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪，那日臨近，勢如燒着的火爐，凡狂傲的和行惡的都如碎稭，在那日被燒盡，根與枝條無一存留。

他對我說：「這就是向全地面發出的詛咒。凡偷竊的必按書卷這面的話除滅，凡起假誓的必按書卷那面的話除滅。萬軍之耶和華說：我要把這書卷送出去，進入偷竊者的家和指着我名起假誓者的家，停留在他家裏，連房屋帶木頭和石頭都毀滅了。」

他必使父親的心轉向兒女，兒女的心轉向父親，免得我來詛咒這地。」

通往生命的門是窄的，路是小的，找到的人也少。」

關於以色列人，以賽亞喊着：「雖然以色列人多如海沙，得救的將是剩下的餘數，

有權勢的必如麻線，他的作為好像火花，都要一同焚燒，無人撲滅。

耶和華－你們的神所應許的一切福氣怎樣臨到你們身上，耶和華也必照樣使各樣災禍臨到你們身上，直到他把你們從耶和華－你們神所賜給你們的這美地上除滅。你們若違背耶和華－你們神吩咐你們所守的約，去事奉別神，敬拜它們，耶和華的怒氣必向你們發作，使你們在他所賜給你們的美地上迅速滅亡。」

你要從其中取幾根鬚髮，用衣服的邊包起來，

你們雖然曾像天上的星那樣多，卻因不聽從耶和華－你神的話，所剩的人丁就稀少了。

誰將雅各交出作為擄物，將以色列交給搶奪者呢？豈不是耶和華－我們所得罪的那位嗎？他們不肯遵行他的道，也不聽從他的訓誨。所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和戰爭的威力傾倒在以色列身上；在他周圍如火燃起，他竟然不知，燒着了，他也不在意。

你們的後代，就是接續你們興起的子孫，和遠方來的外邦人，看見這地的災禍，以及耶和華所降於這地的疾病，遍地都被硫磺和鹽所侵蝕，不能耕種，沒有出產，連草都長不出來，好像耶和華在怒氣和憤怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，萬國必說：『耶和華為甚麼向此地這樣做呢？為甚麼要大發烈怒呢？』人必說：『這是因為這地的人離棄了耶和華－他們列祖的神領他們出埃及地的時候與他們所立的約，去事奉別神，敬拜他們所不認識的神明，這是耶和華未曾允許的。所以耶和華的怒氣向這地發作，將這書上所寫的一切詛咒都降在這地上。耶和華在怒氣、憤怒、大惱恨中將他們從本地拔出來，扔到別的地上，像今日一樣。』

我今日向你們申明，你們必定滅亡；在你過約旦河進去得為業的地上，你的日子必不長久。我今日呼天喚地向你作見證：我已經將生與死，祝福與詛咒，擺在你面前。所以你要揀選生命，好使你和你的後裔都得存活。

萬軍之耶和華說：「你們若不聽，若不放在心上，將榮耀歸給我的名，我就使詛咒臨到你們，使你們的福分變為詛咒；其實我已經詛咒了你們的福分，因你們不把誡命放在心上。

但主的日子要像賊一樣來到；那日，天必在轟然一聲中消失，天體都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的萬物都要燒盡。

因你們全國上下都搶奪我的供物，詛咒就臨到你們身上。

我要打發野地的走獸到你們中間，奪去你們的兒女，吞滅你們的牲畜，使你們人數減少，道路荒涼。

耶和華必將你們分散在萬民中；在耶和華領你們到的列國中，你們剩下的人丁稀少。

「你若不聽從耶和華－你神的話，不謹守遵行他的一切誡命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，這一切的詛咒必臨到你身上，追隨你：你在城裏必受詛咒，在田間也必受詛咒。你的筐子和你的揉麵盆都必受詛咒。你身所生的，你地所產的，以及牛犢、羔羊，都必受詛咒。你出也受詛咒，入也受詛咒。耶和華因你作惡離棄他，必在你手裏所做的一切，使詛咒、困擾、責罰臨到你，直到你被除滅，直到你迅速滅亡。

眾人都回答：「他的血歸到我們和我們的子孫身上！」
