关于以色列人，以赛亚喊着：“虽然以色列人多如海沙，得救的将是剩下的余数，

有权势的必如麻线，他的作为好像火花，都要一同焚烧，无人扑灭。

耶和华—你们的神所应许的一切福气怎样临到你们身上，耶和华也必照样使各样灾祸临到你们身上，直到他把你们从耶和华—你们神所赐给你们的这美地上除灭。你们若违背耶和华—你们神吩咐你们所守的约，去事奉别神，敬拜它们，耶和华的怒气必向你们发作，使你们在他所赐给你们的美地上迅速灭亡。”

你要从其中取几根须发，用衣服的边包起来，

你们虽然曾像天上的星那样多，却因不听从耶和华—你神的话，所剩的人丁就稀少了。

谁将雅各交出作为掳物，将以色列交给抢夺者呢？岂不是耶和华—我们所得罪的那位吗？他们不肯遵行他的道，也不听从他的训诲。所以，他将猛烈的怒气和战争的威力倾倒在以色列身上；在他周围如火燃起，他竟然不知，烧着了，他也不在意。

你们的后代，就是接续你们兴起的子孙，和远方来的外邦人，看见这地的灾祸，以及耶和华所降于这地的疾病，遍地都被硫磺和盐所侵蚀，不能耕种，没有出产，连草都长不出来，好像耶和华在怒气和愤怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样，万国必说：‘耶和华为什么向此地这样做呢？为什么要大发烈怒呢？’人必说：‘这是因为这地的人离弃了耶和华—他们列祖的神领他们出埃及地的时候与他们所立的约，去事奉别神，敬拜他们所不认识的神明，这是耶和华未曾允许的。所以耶和华的怒气向这地发作，将这书上所写的一切诅咒都降在这地上。耶和华在怒气、愤怒、大恼恨中将他们从本地拔出来，扔到别的地上，像今日一样。’

我今日向你们申明，你们必定灭亡；在你过约旦河进去得为业的地上，你的日子必不长久。我今日呼天唤地向你作见证：我已经将生与死，祝福与诅咒，摆在你面前。所以你要拣选生命，好使你和你的后裔都得存活。

万军之耶和华说：“你们若不听，若不放在心上，将荣耀归给我的名，我就使诅咒临到你们，使你们的福分变为诅咒；其实我已经诅咒了你们的福分，因你们不把诫命放在心上。

但主的日子要像贼一样来到；那日，天必在轰然一声中消失，天体都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的万物都要烧尽。

因你们全国上下都抢夺我的供物，诅咒就临到你们身上。

我要打发野地的走兽到你们中间，夺去你们的儿女，吞灭你们的牲畜，使你们人数减少，道路荒凉。

耶和华必将你们分散在万民中；在耶和华领你们到的列国中，你们剩下的人丁稀少。

“你若不听从耶和华—你神的话，不谨守遵行他的一切诫命律例，就是我今日所吩咐你的，这一切的诅咒必临到你身上，追随你：你在城里必受诅咒，在田间也必受诅咒。你的筐子和你的揉面盆都必受诅咒。你身所生的，你地所产的，以及牛犊、羔羊，都必受诅咒。你出也受诅咒，入也受诅咒。耶和华因你作恶离弃他，必在你手里所做的一切，使诅咒、困扰、责罚临到你，直到你被除灭，直到你迅速灭亡。

众人都回答：“他的血归到我们和我们的子孙身上！”
