接着，我看见一个白色的大宝座和坐在它上面的那一位。地和天都从他面前逃避，连它们的地方也找不到了。

看哪！耶和华使大地空废，变得荒凉；又使地面扭曲，使地上的居民四散。那时，百姓怎样，祭司也怎样；仆人怎样，主人也怎样；婢女怎样，主母也怎样；购买的怎样，贩卖的也怎样；借给人的怎样，向人借的也怎样；放债的怎样，借债的也怎样。大地必彻底空废，被掠夺净尽，因为耶和华已经说了这话。大地悲凉凋萎，世界衰落凋萎，地上权高位重的人也衰落了。大地被其上的居民玷污，因为他们违背律法，违犯律例，破坏永远的约。

耶稣在橄榄山上坐着，门徒们悄悄地前来问他：“请告诉我们，这些事什么时候会发生呢？你的来临和这世代的终结会有什么预兆呢？”

天上的万象都要衰亡，天如同书卷要被卷起来；其中的万象都要凋零，如葡萄树的叶子凋零，又如无花果树的叶子凋零。我耶和华的刀在天上已经喝足了，看哪，这刀要落下施行审判，落在我命定灭绝的民以东人身上！耶和华的刀染满了血、沾满了脂油——羊羔和公山羊的血、公绵羊肾脏的脂油；因为耶和华要在波斯拉举行祭祀，在以东地大行杀戮。野牛、公牛和壮牛都将与他们一同倒下；他们的地将喝足血，他们的尘土将沾满脂油。这就是耶和华报复之日，是为锡安的争讼施行报应的年日。以东的溪流将变成柏油，它的尘土将变成硫磺，它的土地将成为燃烧着的柏油——昼夜总不熄灭，烟气永远上腾；那地世世代代荒凉，永永远远无人经过。
