Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of?

勿恃世人、彼之生氣、僅在鼻中、何足算哉、

斯人也、呼吸之氣、出入於口、安能助人、勿以為可恃。

毋恃世人、世人僅有鼻中出入之生氣、出入之生氣或作呼吸之氣何足算哉、

Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem?

Stop trusting in mere human beings, who can’t help you. They only live for a little while. What good are they?

Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?

Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they?

Put no more trust in a mere human, who has only the breath in his nostrils. What is he really worth?

Take no account of man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?

Sever yourselves from such a man, Whose breath is in his nostrils; For of what account is he?

Thus saith Jehovah: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from Jehovah.

Put not your trust in princes, Nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

Jehovah, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?Man is like to vanity: His days are as a shadow that passeth away.

whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. What is your life? For ye are a vapor that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

( For my life is yet whole in me, And the spirit of God is in my nostrils);

And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

So that my soul chooseth strangling, And death rather than these my bones.I loathe my life; I would not live alway: Let me alone; for my days are vanity.What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him, And that thou shouldest set thy mind upon him,And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, And try him every moment?How long wilt thou not look away from me, Nor let me alone till I swallow down my spittle?If I have sinned, what do I unto thee, O thou watcher of men? Why hast thou set me as a mark for thee, So that I am a burden to myself?And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? For now shall I lie down in the dust; And thou wilt seek me diligently, but I shall not be.

all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are accounted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.
