以色列族因蹈愆尤、遂致殞沒、當歸誠爾之上帝耶和華、

凡責我者、我受時憂而不樂、後經練習、則結善果、以致平康、

爾當知我之為我、外此別無上帝、殺戮者我、生全者我、攻擊者我、施醫者我、無能奪於我手。

任斯民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視耳聽心悟、遷改而得醫焉、

先殘缺而後彌縫、先鞭扑而後醫痊。

以賽亞以埃及之事、得之默示者、述於左、耶和華乘雲迅速、涖臨埃及、埃及之偶像震動、埃及之人民恐懼。萬有之主耶和華曰、我必使埃及人、兄弟友朋、城邑邦國、互相攻擊、埃及人必喪厥膽、其謀為我所敗、彼雖求偶像、為神所憑者、以及巫覡之輩、亦必委之於殘忍之主、暴虐之君。

往告此民曰、爾將耳聞而不聰、目視而不明、蓋此民心頑、耳聾、目瞶、免其目視、耳聽、心悟、遷改而我醫之、

我必棄斯民、而歸我所、迨其自陳己罪、求沾我恩、窘迫之際、竭力求予。

作惡者流、當改其行、寢其謀、歸誠耶和華我之上帝、蓋彼矜恤為懷、必赦宥之。

耶和華又曰、埃及人貢其物產、古實人攜其貨財、西巴族軀幹雄偉、俱必歸誠於爾、為爾屬邦、自繫鐵索、跪於爾前、呼曰、惟爾國有上帝、其外無他。

今我遣爾至以色列民、及異邦有害汝者、吾拯爾、俾明厥目、轉暗為光、離撒但勢、歸於上帝、使眾信我、可得罪赦、同獲聖徒之業、亞基帕王乎、是以我不違天之顯現、乃先於大馬色、次於耶路撒冷、舉猶太地、爰及異邦、我告人悔改、歸上帝、而行事以彰悔改、

二三日之後、彼將甦我、使我復興、與之偕生。

耶和華又曰、我使爾邑中、糈糧匱乏、齒間絕食、爾尚不歸誠於我、耶和華又曰、秋前三月、我不降雨、惟雨一邑、他邑不雨、惟潤一田、他田不潤、遂致荒蕪、二三邑之民、遊至此邑、思欲飲水、不遂所求、爾尚不歸誠於我。耶和華又曰我使風暴五穀、細弱特甚、爾圃中之菜、園中之葡萄、無花果、橄欖樹、為蝗蟲食盡、爾尚不歸誠於我。耶和華又曰、我使瘟疫、傳染遍境、與埃及無異、殺爾丁男、擄爾馬匹、爾之營壘、腥羶撲鼻、爾尚不歸誠於我。耶和華又曰、昔我上帝傾圮所多馬蛾摩拉、爾中數人、亦遭隕越、其餘得救、如脫於火、爾尚不歸誠於我、故我必降爾以罰、以色列族乎、爾之上帝將臨汝、必預為備、思何以當之、
