In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings. They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them.

In days to come, the people of Egypt will become weak. The Lord who rules over all will raise his hand against them. Then they will tremble with fear.

In that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts shakes over them.

In that day the Egyptians will be as weak as women. They will cower in fear beneath the upraised fist of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

耶和华必使埃及海汊枯干，抡手用暴热的风使大河分为七条，令人过去不致湿脚。

巴比伦的勇士止息争战，藏在坚垒之中。他们的勇力衰尽，好像妇女一样。巴比伦的住处有火着起，门闩都折断了。

你地上的人民如同妇女；你国中的关口向仇敌敞开；你的门闩被火焚烧。

当那日，亚述王要在挪伯歇兵，向锡安女子的山，就是耶路撒冷的山，抡手攻他。

有刀剑临到他的马匹、车辆，和其中杂族的人民；他们必像妇女一样。有刀剑临到他的宝物，就被抢夺。

耶和华必使人听他威严的声音，又显他降罚的膀臂和他怒中的忿恨，并吞灭的火焰与霹雷、暴风、冰雹。亚述人必因耶和华的声音惊惶；耶和华必用杖击打他。耶和华必将命定的杖加在他身上；每打一下，人必击鼓弹琴。打仗的时候，耶和华必抡起手来，与他交战。

看哪，我要向他们抡手，他们就必作服侍他们之人的掳物，你们便知道万军之耶和华差遣我了。

一人叱喝，必令千人逃跑；五人叱喝，你们都必逃跑；以致剩下的，好像山顶的旗杆，冈上的大旗。

落在永生神的手里，真是可怕的！

他们在那里被战兢疼痛抓住，好像产难的妇人一样。

耶和华如此说：“我们听见声音，是战抖惧怕而不平安的声音。你们且访问看看，男人有产难吗？我怎么看见人人用手掐腰，像产难的妇人，脸面都变青了呢？哀哉！那日为大，无日可比；这是雅各遭难的时候，但他必被救出来。”
