The LORD has broken the club of the wicked, the scepter of rulers.

耶和华折断了恶人的杖，辖制人的圭，

耶和华折断恶人的杖，打断统治者的权杖；

耶和华折断了邪恶君主的权杖。

耶和华折断了恶人的杖和统治者的棒，

耶和华打断了恶人的杖和管辖者的权杖——

耶和華折斷了惡人的杖，轄制人的圭，

耶和華折斷惡人的杖，打斷統治者的權杖；

耶和華折斷惡人的杖，打斷統治者的權杖；

耶和華折斷了邪惡君主的權杖。

耶和華折斷了惡人的杖和統治者的棒，

永恆主折斷了惡人權柄之杖，毁了轄制人者的指揮棍，

耶和華打斷了惡人的杖和管轄者的權杖——

耶和華折惡人之梃、斷霸者之杖、

昔發憤怒、鞭扑閭閻、不知底止、虐遇鄰邦、不加矜恤、以苛政制人者、今耶和華已折其柄矣。

主已折惡人之梃、暴居之杖、

The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,

The Lord has taken away the authority of evil people. He has broken the power of rulers.

The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of rulers,

For the Lord has crushed your wicked power and broken your evil rule.

Jehovah hath broken the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of the rulers;

Yahweh has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,

Indeed, the scepter of a wicked king will not settle upon the allotted land of the godly. Otherwise the godly might do what is wrong.

For their oppressive yoke and the club that strikes their shoulders, the cudgel the oppressor uses on them, you have shattered, as in the day of Midian’s defeat.

Assyria, the club I use to vent my anger, is as good as dead, a cudgel with which I angrily punish.

Don’t be so happy, all you Philistines, just because the club that beat you has been broken! For a viper will grow out of the serpent’s root, and its fruit will be a darting adder.

Moab will be destroyed. Its towns will be invaded. Its finest young men will be slaughtered. I, the King, the LORD who rules over all, affirm it!Moab’s destruction is at hand. Disaster will come on it quickly.Mourn for that nation, all you nations living around it, all of you nations that know of its fame. Mourn and say,‘ Alas, its powerful influence has been broken! Its glory and power have been done away!’
