Terror will seize them, pain and anguish will grip them; they will writhe like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at each other, their faces aflame.

The people will be filled with terror. Pain and suffering will grab hold of them. They will groan with pain like a woman having a baby. They’ll look at one another in terror. Their faces will burn with shame.

They will be dismayed: pangs and agony will seize them; they will be in anguish like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at one another; their faces will be aflame.

当人们正说“和平”、“安全”的时候，毁灭那时就突然临到他们，就像孕妇的临产阵痛那样，他们绝不能逃脱。

孕妇临产时怎样挣扎，阵痛时怎样喊叫，耶和华啊，我们在你面前也照样如此！

为此，我的腰满是疼痛，剧痛抓住了我，好像临产妇人的剧痛。我惶惑得不能听，我惶恐得不能看。我的心慌乱，恐怖惊扰着我，我所爱慕的黄昏竟使我恐惧。

妇人生产的时候会有忧虑，因为她的时候到了；但是生了孩子以后，她就因着有人出生到世上的喜乐，而不再记住那痛苦了。

那时，忽然有人的手指头出现，在灯台对面王宫的粉墙上写字。王看到那正在写字的手，王的脸色就变了，他的意念使他惶恐，他的腰骨松脱，双膝彼此相碰。

他们看见这城就感到惊奇惶恐，慌忙逃走；战兢在那里抓住了他们，他们的剧痛像妇人临产时的那样。
