“我在你们中间施行毁灭，如从前毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉一样，使你们像从火里抽出的一根柴。尽管如此，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。

王啊，你是万王之王，天上的上帝已将国度、权柄、能力和尊荣赐给你，也将居住在各地的世人、走兽和飞禽都交在你手中，让你管理。你就是那金头。

他们必这样讥笑巴比伦王：“暴君灭亡了！暴政结束了！耶和华折断了邪恶君主的权杖。他曾狂怒地攻伐列邦，无休无止，怒气冲冲地征服列国，大肆迫害。
