See, I will stir up against them the Medes, who do not care for silver and have no delight in gold.

The Lord will stir up the Medes to attack the Babylonians. They aren’t interested in getting silver. They don’t want gold.

Behold, I am stirring up the Medes against them, who have no regard for silver and do not delight in gold.

“ Look, I will stir up the Medes against Babylon. They cannot be tempted by silver or bribed with gold.

Look! I am stirring up the Medes against them, who cannot be bought off with silver and who have no desire for gold.

丈夫因嫉恨發怒，報仇的時候絕不留情。他不接受任何賠償，你送許多禮物，他也不肯和解。

你們要磨尖箭頭，抓住盾牌。論到巴比倫，耶和華定意要毀滅它，所以激起瑪代君王的心；這是耶和華報仇，為他的聖殿報仇。

有悽慘的異象向我揭示：「詭詐的在行詭詐，毀滅的在行毀滅。以攔哪，前進吧！瑪代啊，圍攻吧！我使它一切的嘆息停止了。」

我從北方興起一人，他從日出之地而來，是求告我名的；他必踩踏掌權者，如踩踏泥土，又如陶匠踹泥一般。

你們要在境內豎立大旗，在列邦中吹角，使列邦預備攻擊巴比倫。要招集亞拉臘、米尼、亞實基拿各國前來攻擊它，派將軍攻擊它，使馬匹上來如粗暴的蝗蟲；使列邦和瑪代君王，省長和官員，他們所管的全地，都預備攻擊它。

看哪，因我必激起大國聯盟，帶領他們從北方來攻擊巴比倫，他們要擺陣攻擊它，它必在那裏被攻取。他們的箭好像善射勇士的箭，絕不徒然返回。

毗勒斯就是你的國要分裂，歸給瑪代人和波斯人。」於是伯沙撒下令，人就把紫袍給但以理穿上，把金鏈給他戴在頸項上，又傳令使他在國中位列第三。當夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被殺。瑪代人大流士年六十二歲，取了迦勒底國。

我吩咐我所分別為聖的人，召喚我的勇士，就是我那狂喜高傲的人，為要執行我的怒氣。聽啊，山間有喧鬧的聲音，好像有許多百姓聚集，聽啊，多國之民聚集鬧鬨的聲音；這是萬軍之耶和華召集作戰的軍隊。他們從遠方來，從天邊來，耶和華和他惱恨的兵器要毀滅全地。
