看哪！我要激動瑪代人來攻擊他們。瑪代人不重視銀子，也不喜愛金子。

See, I will stir up against them the Medes, who do not care for silver and have no delight in gold.

The Lord will stir up the Medes to attack the Babylonians. They aren’t interested in getting silver. They don’t want gold.

Behold, I am stirring up the Medes against them, who have no regard for silver and do not delight in gold.

“ Look, I will stir up the Medes against Babylon. They cannot be tempted by silver or bribed with gold.

Look! I am stirring up the Medes against them, who cannot be bought off with silver and who have no desire for gold.

Behold, I am going to stir up the Medes against them, Who will not value silver or take pleasure in gold.

“ Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, Who will not regard silver; And as for gold, they will not delight in it.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who shall not regard silver, and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

因為嫉妒激起了丈夫的烈怒，使他在報仇的時候，必不留情。任何賠償，他都不接受，縱使你餽送許多禮物，他也不肯罷休。

你們要磨尖箭頭，拿起盾牌（“拿起盾牌”《七十士譯本》譯作“裝滿箭袋”）；耶和華定意要毀滅巴比倫，所以激動瑪代諸王的心；這是耶和華的報復，就是為他的殿而施行的報復。

我被指示去看一個慘酷的異象：那行詭詐的仍然行詭詐，那行破壞的仍然行破壞。以攔哪，上去吧！瑪代啊，圍攻吧！我要使一切歎息止住。

我從北方興起一人，他就來了；他從日出之地而來，呼求我的名；他必來踐踏掌權的，好像踐踏灰泥，又像陶匠踹泥一樣。

“你們要在地上豎起旗幟，在列國中吹號角，使列國作好準備攻擊巴比倫，把亞拉臘、米尼、亞實基拿等國召來攻擊她，又指派元帥來攻擊她，使馬匹像蝗蟲洶湧上來。你們要使列國作好準備攻擊她，使瑪代諸王，和她的省長、總監，以及他們轄下各地的人民都作好準備攻擊她。

因為，看哪！我必激動強國從北方之地聯群而來，攻擊巴比倫；他們要列陣攻打巴比倫；巴比倫就必被攻取。他們的箭必像善戰的勇士，不會空手而回。

‘毘勒斯’（“毘勒斯”即“烏法珥新”的單數式）就是你的國要分裂，歸給瑪代人和波斯人。”於是伯沙撒下令，人就把紫袍給但以理穿上，把金鍊戴在他的頸上，又宣告他在國中掌權，位列第三。當夜，迦勒底人的王伯沙撒被殺。瑪代人大利烏奪取了迦勒底國；那時他六十二歲。（本節在《馬索拉文本》為6:1）

我向我特選的軍兵下了命令；我也呼召了我的勇士，就是我那些驕傲自誇的人，去執行我在怒氣中所要作的。聽啊！山上有喧嘩的聲音，好像是眾多的人民；聽啊！有多國的人的嘈雜聲，好像是列國聚集在一起。萬軍之耶和華正在數點軍兵，預備打仗。他們從遠地而來，從天邊而來。就是耶和華和他惱怒的工具，要毀滅這全地。
